ORIGINAL: Lordandmaster About which statement in particular? That low-carb diets are petering out? That the science behind them was junky? That their promoters made irresponsible assertions about fat intake? quote:
ORIGINAL: Level Got to disagree, my friend. All three. 1- low carbing isn't as popular as it was, that's true, but "petering out" to me, means dying out. 2- The science behind it is superb, actually. Of course, you can find studies that show it's bad, also. One has to decide which side of the fence they want to be on, and I've had nothing but benefits from it. 3- Fat, especially in the absence of carbohydrate, isn't bad for you. As Churro said, paleo nutrition has a lot to offer, and it's how the human race ate for centuries.
