What the hell is up with Dallas, Texas? This is the 17th time since 2001 a man has been released from prison in Dallas due to DNA. That is by far the highest rate in the nation.

If you want to be wrongfully convicted....move to Dallas. Apparently those juries will convict anyone based on practically no evidence at all.

I wonder what their police dept is rated at?
They must have some type of ratings for civilian police depts.
With 17 cases like that it can't be very good.

Another black guy wrongly convicted....... cynics might think there was a pattern emerging

Still, if he'd been hanged then the conviction would have remained safe, the public placated and all would be right with the world.

And I spare a thought for the rape survivor too; now she has not only the rape to live with, but the guilt of having been instrumental in taking away over two decades of an innocent man's life - while the safety and justice she thought she had was never so.

Texas has had a long history of poorly prepared public defenders for black suspects for any crime. Beyond being negligent, at that. And stacked juries to boot. It is not just Dallas.
