Sandyshores29718 -> Rubber Flogger (4/16/2008 9:14:11 PM)

So, i have asked my friends that for my birthday i want a rubber flogger.  Its not so hard to do if you get a couple people together to buy the gift. Not something one would ask their family for. lol Well, i have felt one at a store and hit my arm a couple times hard enough and it felt wonderful! Left the most lovely welps and had a great sting.  my question is does anyone own one and if so what are your thoughts?  i'm really excited about getting this to add to my "beginners kit" that i'm building. I have two, love them both.  One I purchased at Mr. S. Leather about 1/2 inch falls, and the other is 1/8 inch.  The thinker one is nice and thuddy and leaves nice marks the 1/8 one leaves very nice cuts and that is my baby.

I just bought a flogger made from recycled tire innertubes.  It has a nasty sting and only cost $30.00.

flat braided has even more sting.. Or screen door spline.

Domin81 -> RE: Rubber Flogger (4/16/2008 11:40:47 PM)

If you like sting in a big way, rubber certainly works. A bonus is that it can be effectively cleaned.

Sandyshores29718 -> RE: Rubber Flogger (4/17/2008 5:15:14 AM)

i saw a flat braided one for about 75.00 dollars and oooooooooooooo i shall have that as well.  Its kinda like a child in a candy store. i want everything. haha  How would be best to clean the rubber?

screen door spline: wow, some of the most creative people i've ever saw are into BDSM. lol Though it does make things interesting. lol

We have one, and i've had some experience with various styles. Personally, i don't like rubber floggers. They may sting and thud, but the general feel of the rubber on my skin... bleh. i also don't like the way the falls sometimes tangle up on each other. Of course, i'm partial to leather, but i also like Nylon, silk, and the weight of tire floggers (although they smell). Something to think about, for your beginner's kit. You could always go to a bike place and snatch up some of those handle bar pom-poms. They are made of various materials, which will give you some different feels. Just a suggestion for experimentations.

Thanks, thats a great idea. [:D]

We own a few, one of the cheapest toys you will ever buy so buy lots.

The multi colored ones are nice...the ones made from innertubes are also nice.
Hard to get the scent off of them though.

Pretty much any of them can be had for around the 20-25 dollar range if you shop around.

Screen spline will make you one of the cheapest most painful floggers you will ever own or play with.  I have 4 rubber floggers that I have made, they are cheap and easy to make, and sting like a bastard.

Sandyshores29718 -> RE: Rubber Flogger (4/17/2008 4:38:52 PM)

  i'm still getting use to the idea of a screen door spline. Tonight i'm going to target and see what sparks my interest with the items laying around.

MsStarlett -> RE: Rubber Flogger (4/17/2008 7:26:54 PM)

Ok.  I'll bite.  WTF is 'screen door spline' ???

SNoB -> RE: Rubber Flogger (4/17/2008 7:29:30 PM)

Its a little rubber tube that has ribs on it, it holds the screen in the frame for window and door screens.  You can get it at any hardware store.  The little spines hurt like a bastard.

teddybearsub4u -> RE: Rubber Flogger (4/17/2008 7:33:05 PM)

my mistress has a rubber flogger.. and i LOVE it, it has a quick sting, but it fades out fast.. she can use it as hard as she can, and im ready for it again and again! it is my fav in her set of whips and floggers.. she now uses it as a reward, but i gotta work very hard to get that!

MsStarlett -> RE: Rubber Flogger (4/17/2008 7:39:28 PM)

Thank you, Snob.  You get a cookie.

DiurnalVampire -> RE: Rubber Flogger (4/17/2008 7:43:53 PM)

The best rubber flogger I ever had, that I might need to recreate at some point, was made from a bunjee cord used for tying tings down to a car. I came about the idea completely by accident when one of my father's cords broke while we were lashing some furniture to the top of his car to take to storage. The outer layer was frayed, and I kept myself busy in traffic pullin gthat off, and i had a handful of just little rubber strands left. I thought it might be an interesting toy to try and so I stashed it under the seat and tried it out onf the boy I was playing with at the time. It got quite the reaction, but Dad tossed it out since he thought it was trash when he found it in my car after I moved. Cost of the cord... 1.25 at big lots.

and the cheapest way to make one is to do this:

You figure out the overall length you want. Then you pound a couple of nails into a two by four, that distance apart. You wrap the spline around and around that, then tie strings to the ends by the nails. You then slip a piece of rubber tubing over one end of the bundle-using the string to pull a looped set through. It's better if it is snug and hard to pull-but can be. stick a little superglue under the cut ends of the tube to keep stuff from slipping out-or whatever glue works. Tie off the handle loops with a chunk to make a lanyard.

If you leave the looped ends on the business side uncut-you have a multiple "loopy louie". This stings like a holy motherfucker-and can leave welts-so be careful. Or you can cut the ends loose for lighter sting.

It's still going to feel like a hive of wasps is after your ass. Cut the ends at hypodermic angles if you want it to cut. Square for sting.

You can build something like this yourself for under ten bucks from most hardware stores.

I live to effing serve-enjoy!!!!!! [:D]
