Once you become an adult, your healing is up to you. No one can make you forgive, no one can free you but you. Even after your abuser dies, you can still be victimizing yourself.
It's not my responsibility to heal a submissive's damage from abuse. It's ethical for me to play with adults. I can stand upright and patient, hoping she works it out, but it's not my job. I'm her owner, not her dish rag.

This is 100% true.

funny, i liked this line...it's not his responsibility to clean up my past...it's his responsibility to own me - because he took it on and wants to...

Funny....because if you're her "owner," wouldn't that mean you own the whole enchilada? Sooo....that would imply that her problems are now your problems....and vice versa. Hmm....that would be called a relationship.

as someone with a huge past that needs to be "cleaned up" both from my own doing and other people's doing...i would hate for my owner to try and fix me or my problems...he's my owner, not my therapist, though that is his occupation...by degree and license...it is not what we are in a relationship for...
