Oh fuck.  Turning forty sucks.  I've got early onset arthritis in my neck and spine.  Bad knees.  A torn rotator cuff.  I'm half deaf.  I wear glasses now.  High cholesterol.  My boobs hang lower.  And I'm Italian so I'm shrinking.

TermsConditions:  Pardon me, Maam (you did say you're turning 40, right [;)]), but if that pic next to your name is you then you are pretty d****mn hot lookin'. [8D]

Just sayin'

Terms, you are newish around here so I'll let you in on a little secret.  Aileen made a pact with the devil several years ago.  She does NOT age.  But she has a really nasty-ass portrait of herself in her bedroom.  If you get lucky enough to get in there and see it....you WON'T be checking out.

Being in our 60's now there are a lot of  things we can no longer do or do as well as we did when younger, but we've found new activities that we enjoy.  We no longer play tennis or ski but we do enjoy our golf and bowling.  Now we walk instead of jog but it's still enjoyable. I think the important thing is to stay very active and challenged mentally, and to stay as active physically as your body allows.

fluffypet61 -> RE: Getting Old (4/19/2008 5:19:53 AM)

i turned 63 this week and a few things are slowing down but i'm not ready to give up sucking cocks and giving massages.  Having someone use me - maybe a little gentler - is still a big pleasure.

Beside that i am retired which gives me TIME to go places.  And a chance to try new things.

Maya2001 -> RE: Getting Old (4/20/2008 1:16:20 AM)

 I am 49 now work as an autoworker in my current job I put in alot of walking miles each day nevermind  all the bending a lifting that i have to do  and I add stretching exercising in an attempt to keep myself as limber as possible over the years aging is taking its toll and I need to rebalance my house work schedule mopre to the weekends  since I find myself feeling more worn out at the end f the work day, 10 years ago I thought I would never make it to retirement but now that it is between 7 and 12 years away  I am suddenly thinking yeah I will make it and the post suddenly had my chuckling  as I realized when I am retired and no longer putting in 40 hours running around like a yo yo working ....I am going to have a lot of spare energy that will need to be diverted and  any dom that i do have at the time could be in for some serious trouble  then keeping up with me if they are not already extremely active themnselves

Old?  You're 28... sheesh.

Nearing 46, I do miss being able to do everything I did when I was in my 20s, but it isn't too bad... yet.  [;)]

Getting old sucks!  I don't personally recommend it.  But at 58 I'm glad I'm still able to do as much as I am doing.  Yes, I am still active (somewhat) in the lifestyle and can still get it up (occassionally) without pills [:D].

If it were anyone else who said that, I'd be wondering what they wanted.

As you can have anything you want from me, I know better.  [;)]

"No capes!"  - E. Mode

Yeah, I just hit 46 this month. (Sort of the same way a crash test dummy hits a wall...) So far, not too bad. I'm actively working on losing my "muffin top" tummy, and feeling MUCH better about things as I do so. Kinda tricky, since I was also diagnosed with Type II diabetes. Yeah, it's a pain in the ass to have to depend on Viagra, but I still get down on my knees and thank God I live in a scientificly-oriented sosciety where I can actually have access to such things.

I'm still active... all the horniness, although my body can't keep up with the desire 3 times a day like when I was still in my 20's... and it takes much, much longer to come. (Which ain't always a bad thing....)

SadistsSeeking -> RE: Getting Old (4/20/2008 6:55:41 PM)

Tell me about it. I did many of the same things, and now eplipsy, hypertension, heart disorders and many others have taken their toll.

When we were young we spoke of what we would do in the future, now that the future is here. . .  Well I do have a few things to be thankful for, like I still have most of my teeth and hair.  LOL!

DreamyLadySnow -> RE: Getting Old (4/20/2008 8:50:31 PM)

If you shot the cat it would have fallen right out!

OOOOO now the cat people will hate me too..lol.
I have to commisserate, am totally feeling like that lately, especially when I wake up with aches and pains...grr.

We seem to be about the same place ... 43 here. I have a mild injury in my right shoulder which has refused to heal, and a bone spur in my left shoulder ... so even while my chest and arm muscles often want to do a lot more than I do, both shoulderblades in their own unique ways are telling me 'stop right there bub.'

i can't sit cross legged on the floor any more.  Thank goodness Master likes me to kneel - that i can do.

OldBastardly1 -> RE: Getting Old (4/26/2008 7:08:17 AM)

The eskimoes used to have a way to deal with old age. When the men got too old to contibute to the tribe, they simply and unceremoniously walked onto the iceflow and took a nap. The progression of freezing to death is being chilled, then feeling warm, then getting sleepy....take a nap and it is all done.

I also do not want to be unable to care for myself. "Hello? Front desk? I will be checking out now."

sub4hire -> RE: Getting Old (4/26/2008 7:14:09 AM)

Age is in the mind, at least you tried to climb that tree.  Many would not do so.  I'm old.  I have bone spurs in both ankles, they've been there since I was in my 20's.  I need surgery on my knee as well, yet it doesn't stop me from walking the dog 3 miles every evening.
Hurts like hell but its worth it.

I will be checking into surgery again here, certainly things have to have improved in the last 20 years.

DesFIP -> RE: Getting Old (4/26/2008 11:01:50 AM)

My father in law, at 86 and dying of cancer claimed he wanted to die. Since neither his wife nor doctor wished to be jailed as a murderer, they left his bottle of OxyContin containing more than enough to end it for him next to his bed with a large glass of water. He didn't take even one.

He didn't want death, he wanted the pain to stop. And that's a different thing entirely.
