Is anyone else tired of the "newbie" questions and being played.....

I never used to be cynical... I used to be a sweetie pie... maybe now I'm a sour puss?

sigh

Why can't you be a sweetie puss?

Some of the newbie questions..... just seem fabricated. Best ignored, probably. Except for the ones that turn into funny threads.

Well sour puss, your words not mine.. Isn't it better to answer the newbies question  so they learn,, then not answer them  and bitch later that they know nothing ,or are a waste of time.. It is what you are willing to put in now that will make them better later.. And whom are they really PLAYING. The games would be their loss not yours.

You know, even if the person asked the newbie question is faux naive, that doesn't mean that a real newbie won't read the thread and learn from it. As long as it isn't obvious wank material, I figure it doesn't hurt to answer.

The longer anyone is here the more repetition they see and the less they feel the need to comment on it. Basically I’d challenge anyone to come up with a completely new topic that hasn’t been done in some form or other. This is mainly why I concentrate only on the topical threads.

Having said that I never bothered with the opinion exchange type threads. When was the last time someone actually changed their opinion based on what someone else said? Also if they did then change, try getting them to state they didn’t always hold that opinion; impossible even if you keep track what everyone said in every thread they have ever commented on.

I even have fun with the wankers!  Though seriously, I do wish they would use the frelling search function sometimes....with all the information at your fingertips, why not use it?

Francine, sour on the inside!

There are some sincere novices out there. I'd rather answer 10 phonies than take a chance on dissapointing  someone who really wants help.

It's not newbieness that irritates me (I'm a newbie in lots of areas) it's stupidity that gets me - ppl with IQs of about 45 who need help understanding life. (No, I'm not a nice kindly person; sorry).

The good thing is they eventually fall off a pavement (sidewalk for you foreigners) somewhere and so it's only the intelligent survivors who are found here with something other than an ice cream cone under their names.

And you intelligent survivors (you know who you are!) I admire and love to bits!

PS If you're a newbie and don't know what the ice cream cone is for, and can't work it out for yourself, why not post a thread to ask?

awwwwwwwwwww my darlings,  so nice to get such happy happy from the folks at Collar Me.  *smiles

Naw, I agree with the teaching thing... it's our duty.  It's the   I just joined collar me, how do i find a Dom, and an hour later, I'm under consideration ... threads.

I WANT to help the legit newbies, the ones who aren't clear, who are confused, whatever.  I've learned to look at the profiles, look at the join date, look at the thread date, and put two and two together... and somehow it keeps turning out to be 22.  Sigh.

anyway, on a happy note... I'm going to China Sat.  to eat off of China.  in China... *giggles.

Yes, but only if you find, skin and cure the pelt yourself.
