Well... I suppose one must lead... and the other follows.

RavenMuse -> RE: Semantics sub 'space'/sub 'drop' (4/24/2008 7:43:47 AM)

Tis usual to have the person you are kicking in the arse in front of you

kittinSol -> RE: Semantics sub 'space'/sub 'drop' (4/24/2008 7:44:03 AM)

Fast reply - the self-control and domly behaviour on this thread is astounding [8|] .

IvyMorgan -> RE: Semantics sub 'space'/sub 'drop' (4/24/2008 7:48:54 AM)

To direct ppl back to the topic...

My Dom talks of wanting to "drop" me, or to get me to "drop" whilst playing.  We both know it means he wants me to wander off into subspace.  We use the term "drop" because I have a background in hypnosis, and so "drop" into trance/relaxation, and subspace is an extension of that.  It's just the terminology we use, not necessarily what everyone else uses, as long as we know what we mean, it's okay, right?

GreedyTop -> RE: Semantics sub 'space'/sub 'drop' (4/24/2008 7:53:33 AM)

~hijack~

sorry, pet peeve of mine:  it would be I don't feel ANYTHING.. saying I don't feel nothing would imply that you are actually FEELING something..

ok, back to your regularly scheduled ..thread

Well where the is no sense there is no feeling.

But alas I can't spend any more time assisting with your attention span and I'll bow out and leave the thread to the kind of entertainment it was intended to create, namely discussion [:)]

kittinSol -> RE: Semantics sub 'space'/sub 'drop' (4/24/2008 7:56:19 AM)

AAwwwww, just when it was getting entertaining...

yes.. it is....  of course.. you only see what is printed on the screen and not anything else.....

Very much like what a person sees in a given visit with another who lives their lifestyle differently.  We tend to look at others through or own glasses... but if we want to succeed in appreciating what/why another does what they do... we need to take our glasses off and put theirs on.  This is not to say that we need forget about our own glasses...  Looking at someone with our own glasses is about making judgements... not about actually understanding or appreciating what/why another does what they do.

mmmm found another to follow I see... how disappointing

kittinSol -> RE: Semantics sub 'space'/sub 'drop' (4/24/2008 8:02:36 AM)

There weren't many subtleties to observe or interpret here, however. It was pretty straightforward: two Doms were having a 'I'm bigger than you' contest. Still, it was fun while it lasted.

actually.. the subtleties are lot more than you see or are interpreting.  Often that does exist... but we like to simply things... it makes it easier to make judgements we make it simple.
