Leatherist -> RE: Staph infection. (4/25/2008 5:38:48 PM)

I've gotten boils on my upper back from this crap a couple of times.  I couldn;t afford to go to a clinic,so I ended up cutting them open myself. They still left shallow craters when they healed.

I moved about a year and a half ago, and have had no issues with it since-so it must have been something in the enviornment at the old place.

The few times I've had them I used tea bags. Very hot tea bags as a poultice, it is said that the tannic acid draws the icky stuff (yeah don't I sound all adult lol) and it has seemed to work well for me.I've also used tea bags for styes.

I'll try it. Thanks! Does it matter what kind of tea? LOL

I used ordinary black tea, I don't know if the tannic acid levels vary by tea but you could always Google it.

Sometimes, some things are just too much information.  There is a saying that goes something like, "women are more attractive when there is a little mystery about them."  That pretty much means you don't have to tell all/show all, but just enough to get the information you desire.  Didn't you get that information prior to posting pictures?
