Sometimes men when they age will be come one time cummers, and that's it they're done for the day.

Hee, I have run into a young one a time or two, that are one-time cummers, and they are done for the day.

I don't think it's so much a matter of advancing years, it's just how they are wired.

I agree with this.  My ex husband is 50 and he could easily fuck several times a day and still cum relatively quickly each time.  He used to fuck me and cum, and be ready to fuck me again inside of an hour.

I have known younger guys who couldn't hold a candle to that.  So I don't really think it's an age issue.  At least not in my experience.

What they said ^, but for those that it changes over time (assuming this is not a sudden change you're asking about, but over months and years) it is most often related to a lowering of testosterone levels as they age or cardiovascular and/or pulmonary decline, prostate issues, and/or dissatisfaction with their relationship.

Then you've all the other matters of stress, medication effects (both current meds' side effects and post-use effects), changing emotional status (regarding themselves, their partner, views on sex or types of sex, and endless other things), and endless other factors mental and physical.  But those listed in the first paragraph are some of the most common.

I totally agree.  We were 3-4 times a day fuckers.  Often with less than an hour between fucks.  I dont think age has a thing to do with it.

"less than an hour"  ( <---- only OK if the actual intercourse part of sex lasts at least an hour.)

I would be too impatient.... 10 or 15 minutes seems like a long time sometimes -- even with afterplay, foreplay, whatever kind of play, etc.....

My favorites are men who "suffer" from priapism (sp?).    I once met someone through this site whom I was with over a year and he was incredible.  Hours of sex, orgasm after orgasm.

I was taught that if you do it right the first time, you don't have to repeat your work.

I think its more of a muscle and regular frequency issue.  I have had several orgasms a day going back to about age ten however about two years ago I stopped having sex for about three or four months as well as stopped masterbating and I had immediatly noticed a weekness in muscle tone that controls the pumping and an incredible decrease in the amount of semen I produced once I started back up again. It also caused me to orgasm much faster than what I was use to.  Anyways, once the frequency of sex picked back up so did everything else and within a few months I was back to my old self of being able to have sex several times a day.  I'm pushing 40 now and am able to do it several times a day with pretty much full loads however, if I dont have sex for a couple of weeks I really can feel those muscles get weeker which changes the whole thing.  I have also noticed that having frequent orgasms has made me tons healthier. I had started developing chest pains that once the frequency of sex went back up the chest pains went away.

Because of all the changes that I went through as a result of lower frequency of sex I am totaly conviced that there is a connection between how much men cum and health... Its as if having regular orgasms tell the old biological clock that the body is still viable and needs to be healthy in order to reproduce or somethng.... I definatly felt like I has wasted away to a degree.

FRS is right to point out "use it or lose it" but the refractory period does exist in men, varying in each one.

My husband, now 49, has certainly slowed down. He has a vasectomy years ago, and I often wonder if that has something to do with it. I have read that testosterone levels have the most influence. Mostly, but not always, those levels decrease or fluctuate with age. Hell, I go up and down like a ping pong ball myself. Raring to go one day, not interested the next. Stress has a lot to do with it, for both sexes.

I also wonder how much of it is in their head. The old "I think I can..."

Get a Hitachi Magic Wand to help when there's down time :)

It'll rip the orgasms right out of you.

Personally, I'm betting it is more a condition of our health, than anything else.  We are a FAT society...balancing on the edge of diabetes and all sorts of other problems.  Healthy people don't 'age' as fast as non-healthy people.

I was recently propositioned by a (married, dammit) guy who owns a cabin near where I used to live.  He's 76 and hot as hell!  Well...cept I imagine he's vanilla.

Anyway, there is something else I've noticed.  The cool thing about 'older men' is that they have learned the joys of slowing down and savoring the task at hand.  I like that part.

As usual there is no single answer that will fit a majority of people.

I noticed several variations took place for myself. One was that I learned to understand that with a very compatible and appreciated partner things can be very magickal.

If I am in control it may be my choice to go a very long time, to keep going through multiple orgasms, or to just enjoy a quick one. If I am NOT in control, then I shall try to give my partner whatever SHE wants.

Sharing energy with the partner can open up some things that the tantric folks speak about, but you must be enough in touch to feel this.

Chronic pain can short circuit the male sexual reactions as much or more than fun pain can stimulate it.

It is not always understood by those who focus upon erection and ejaculation as "THE" male sexual responses that one can ejaculate without achieving orgasm and that a guy can orgasm ( including multiples) without any ejaculation, given the right degree of stimulation... but he may need to be bound to learn this!

in most but definitely not all.. my first Dom  age 49 was multi-orgasmic  could ejaculate would go only semi soft and could be rearoused in seconds  and ejaculates within minutes again,  within  4 hours  sessions would cum  between 6 to 8 times... maybe explains why  former sub/wife   was happy to let him continue to dom  .   Also met another male before in his mid 40 that was also  multi-orgasmic  small ejactulations but he would stay hard inbetween.

I'd marry a guy like that --- well, If he wasn't a Dom and was at least 10 years younger.
