Of necessity, we have needed to make the following changes to the forum at this time: 1. The art and photography forum has been removed for an indefinite amount of time. 2. The creative writing forum has been removed but may be restored if we are able to establish extensive moderation for all posts prior to being made visible on the forum. 3. Beyond those that are already being removed, additional avatars and attachments may be removed if found to be outside the bounds of what we are currently able to host on our servers. ModOne

Did you offer copies to the original authors? I know I have my work saved in other places, but some people might not have and would enjoy having access to their own stories.

As always, whenever we pull anything we always maintain copies. If anyone wants any of their work please feel free to write me with the details and I would be happy to send it to you. ModOne

It sucks, but I'm sure everyone understands. There are other sites that are much more restrictive.

Would it be possible to use avatars hosted on other servers? Some of us have our own web servers and have the bandwidth to spare.

I hate hypocracy. This country garauntees the right to freedom of speech and that of freedom of the press... yet they slip around like little pucilanimous worms to dagger such freedoms in the name of "decency", "morality", and other intrests screamed for by the religious bigots who put puppets in office. I was wondering when you were going to start the huge task. Guess it has started. I was hoping the law would be put on hiatus forever...guess it isn't going to happen Good luck, I know it is a massive job ahead.
