Dear dmc68 I knew a guy who made his own rubber suit using leotards and rubber tool dip. I am not sure how he did but I imagine he put it over a manikin and coated the outside. He looked pretty cool when he wore it. He did a nice job on it. Good lcuk with the poor man version. ScorpioMaster

I dont know where you live, but there is a fetish store on Santa Monica Blvd up in Hollyweird that specializes in making rubber and latex wear.

I dont know the name of the store, but it is half a block west of Dreamdresser (dreamdresser.com).

Good luck

There is also a place in Orange County, Calif. They custom make costumes.
Not too pricey considering what some other places charge. Plus its custom fitted.
Don't know if you're in the right area. If so check out....http://www.versatilefashions.com/

Wondering if it's a rubber wetsuit like what you'd get at a dive shop?? Or if you are actually looking for the shiny latex clothing.. There is a man in St. Louis that makes men's latex clothing and it's absolutely marvelous stuff.. If that's what you're looking for I can see about locating him for you. :)

full body catsuits are what i am referring to here

baileythorne -> RE: where do you buy your rubber? (7/21/2004 12:37:52 AM)

Do you mean latex? or rubber?

I can point you to latex resources, but I know of nowhere that makes black shinny rubber catsuits.

And if you are interested in latex bondage gear, check out this article:
http://www.seriousbondage.com/Article-NoteFromTheEditor/index.php

(ok, I hate it when I can't give you the direct link but site makes you read the "I will not be offended page..." so:
goto the main page and click on the article "A note from the editor". Scroll down toward the bottom and you'll see info on a latex hogsak - a bondage bag of sorts.

Yes, that's me in the translucent latex bag (i'd forgotten about that...)

I've done a bit of modeling for the site as a favor to the owner. The guy that makes the sacks is my ex-roomate ... all a very small world. My world and I'm happy to live in it.

The photo below is one of my favorites. I'm in leather. My ex-roomie is in the black latex.

p.s. no, this isn't my kink. I just get roped into the photo shoots 'cause these guys are important to me.

Ok, here's more from a friend of mine who is very into latex:

--->
Here is my experience/opinions: (Because these are items of personal craftmanship, these recommendations can change, as the product is much more dependant on the actual craftsperson than the company that makes
them -- also there's a lot of fluctuation in price due to raw latex availability (there's been a blight problem in the past 2 years) and currency exchange).

I assume that he really wants to get something good -- there are cheap moulded latex catsuits available on e-Bay, which will develop tears after 1-2 uses. Unless you want something disposable, those should be avoided. Avoid rubbawear and playwear.

If he is low on funds and wants a starter, Reactor Rubberwear (formerly called Kaisers) in Australia has the best prices (but only average quality latex (it tends to stick to itself more than other latices). In the US, House of Whacks makes a very good one at a reasonable price for the item (watch e-Bay -- they often have very good prices if you are lucky). IMHO, the best construction (especially for heavy catsuits) are made by Cocoon (www.cocoon1.com), but you do pay for the quality (and the currency exchange will really get you right now), and
they usually take 5-6 weeks.

If you can, always pay the extra 20-30% for custom fitting -- it is definitely worth it.

(no, really, latex isn't high on my list of kinks... I just have great friends.)

This is just My two cents but I've found that the catsuits that I've gotten from Demask (http://www.demask.com) have been the best qualitywise. THey are very slow to ship however. Libidex also has some good catsuits but if you are just looking to get your feet wet in the catsuit arena. . . .Skn Two and House of Whacks has a good starter line and their prices are more reasonable than the ones perviously mentioned.

*OR* if you like a challenge like me. . .you can buy a pattern for a lycra catsuit and make one yourself! *wink*

I **heart** rubber!!!!!!!!!!

Hey there,

A site it just found called TwistMyRubberArm.com has some fantastic rubber gear. Nearly anything you can think of. So you may want to check them out. it hopes it can talk Master into getting some for it to wear. The pieces gives it a hardon just looking at the marvoulous pieces

GoddessJules -> RE: where do you buy your rubber? (8/6/2004 9:45:38 AM)

hiya randsboy,

I just want to let you know that you will be getting molded latex instead of clothing made from sheets of latex glued together. What does this mean? The latex clothing that this company makes is similar to how latex condoms are made and with that process it doesn't shine as well and doesn't last as long as clothing made from latex sheets. That is why the prices are so low. So depending on what you use them for. . .you can make your decision ;)

Hope that was useful.

~Jules~
