Status: offline 		I have been taking Cymbalta since Nov but a little over a month ago, I had the dose increased from 20 mg to 30 mg...and lately I have noticed I am bruising really really easily...and getting little patches of blood stuck under the skin which I squeeze and it squirts out (gross...sorry...) And my nose is bleeding on the inside...it feels really dry and hurts inside...I guess it may be from allergies...and last week when I had blood work done...it didn't want to clot...and the lady had to press on it for a long time to get it to stop bleeding...she asked if I took asprin, which I don't. Could this be from the Cymbalta? Has anyone else experienced this sort of thing before? Either on Cymbalta or from something else?

Status: offline 		SIDE EFFECTS: Nausea, dry mouth, constipation, loss of appetite, fatigue, drowsiness, dizziness, increased sweating, blurred vision, rash, or itching may occur. If any of these effects persist or worsen, notify your doctor or pharmacist promptly. Tell your doctor immediately if any of these unlikely but serious side effects occur: unusual or severe mental/mood changes (e.g., anxiety, mania), weight loss, change in sexual desire and ability, uncontrolled movements (tremor), difficulty urinating. Tell your doctor immediately if any of these highly unlikely but very serious side effects occur: chest pain, stomach pain, black stools, vomit that looks like coffee grounds, easy bruising/bleeding, unusual bleeding, seizures. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist.

Most of us here are not doctors, nor do we play them on CM.  However, some of us have been known to play doctor in a more private setting.

Status: offline 		 Your doctor should have a message service, call now or go to the ER. If your blood becomes to thin you could hemorrhage. Web md is your friend just type in side affects of any med. To simple to do rather than subject yourself to being criticized here on CM but then again maybe thats what you want?

a) Call your doctor.
or

b) Continue to take a range of random pills and ask CM's about your hemorrhoids,  weight loss, Folliculitis, and other varied medical issues. Seriously. I know more about your body than I do about mine, but you never seem to actually go to the doctor to go see what's wrong. I'm not trying to be mean, but this isn't even a medical site, I'm not sure what you are trying to accomplish by posting all of this up here... well I know exactly what you are trying to get, but damn. There's better ways of accomplishing it.

c) take Vitamin K. It's supposed to be good for helping your blood form clots quicker, but you are taking so many pills it's probably going to mess with something.

Status: offline 		Id think you'd realize by now that you should be calling your doctor and thats about the only advice you would get. Firstly, if you are comfortable enough going to the doctors to get the perscriptions, then you should have no problem returning to talk about effects. Second, any doctor who is not having you monitored on medications like that on a regular basis should be investigated. Especially with the number of things you are on, so you keep telling us. Every one you add ot the mix ups the sideeffects and cross-effects. Unless, of course, you arent telling your various doctors what you are being perscribed, in which case whatever cross effects you wind up wth are as much on your head as on your doctors. They ask you about your meds for a reason, after all.

So, unless your various medical maladies are just some very bizarre bid for attention, you might want to go to your local ER and make sure you havet gotten your body so out of whack they might have to intervene. They may tell you you are fine, they may need to admit you, either way THEY can  tell you that. WE cannot.

Status: offline 		I don't take a lot of medication...only Cymbalta, Neurontin, Buspar, Yasmin, Miralax and Levothyroxine.

I took Prozac about...5 years ago hehe one of the first ones I tried :P

1) call her/him anyway or call the hospital they are affiliated with and ask to speak to the on call person
2) Call your regular Dr and if they are not available talk to the on-call person.
3) go to the ER.

in case you did not notice:


Tell your doctor immediately if any of these highly unlikely but very serious side effects occur: easy bruising/bleeding, unusual bleeding
 
 
 
I think you know this but immediately means RIGHT AWAY.
