There is no way to accurately express my sympathy with words. I am glad the suffering is over, the cat is at peace and that Greedy has you there to help her in the aftermath of something that took great personal strength to carry out.

It was great talking with you both today. I hope your evening continues in a good spirits and if it all gets too sad, you can always revive the jokes about living with a drag queen. You guys are both great.

I went looking for a poem I found last week on a Himalayan cat site. I finally found it:

Lost Pet

I stood by your bed last night
I came to have a peep.
I could see that you were crying,
You found it hard to sleep.
I whined to you softly
as you brushed away a tear,
"It's me, I haven't left you,
I'm well, I'm fine, I'm here."

I was close to you at breakfast,
I watched you pour the tea,
You were thinking of the many times,
your hands reached down to me.

I was with you at the shops today,
Your arms were getting sore.
I longed to take your parcels,
I wish I could do more.

I was with you at my grave today,
You tend it with such care.
I want to reassure you,

brushing away tears thinking of Maggie, Aj, Snickers and little one....it's been 3 years since the dogs died and I still cry...thanks for posting that. That was beautiful. Greedy I hope you feel better, or at least less heavy in your heart.

I gave TJ a major poke on Sat night from you and after he was done laughing I told him about Gracious. He said that he was very sorry.

THIS should make you smile...............
Around 11:30pm I was on the couch at TJ's watching L&O: SVU, very content.....TJ was upstairs watching a movie, the girl's were asleep & it was an episode of L&O:SVU I haven't seen before so all was well UNTIL I noticed at the corner of my eye near the basement door a "flash" whiz by. I thought it was the lighting or my eyes playing tricks since I just woke up not too long before so after looking at the basement door for several seconds and not seeing anyting I ignored what I thought I saw UNTIL I saw it in FULL FORCE again. No FLASH this time, just a scurrying field mouse that went under the basement door. I hollered a "denial" scream of "Nooooo" but not loud enough to bring TJ downstairs UNTIL the mouse's face reappeared under the basement door looking at me then a FULL FORCE SCREAM followed by TERRRRRRRRRANNNNNNCE which brought him running down the stairs to find his Nana curled up on the couch clutching my legs to my chin wondering if I would be brave enough to cross the floor if the girl's woke up crying. I told him what I saw in a loud wavering voice to which he replied laughingly, "Uh uh" then seeing the fear on my face he burst out laughing at his Nana!

ESPECIALLY when I told him I wanted to go home! I asked him to give me my duffel bag which was open on the floor & my boots so the mouse couldn't run into either

He kept trying to go back upstairs and I ordered him to stay w/me & protect me! I said he could watch his movie w/me so believe it or not after he blocked off the bottom of the basement door he laid down on the FLOOR to watch the movie! WTF???? SHOWOFF!
I tm'd my daughter about the mouse & her response was that the movie was "almost over..............................YOU ARE LYING". I assured her I was NOT LYING and that I wanted to go home to a mouse free house!

They arrived home less than 20 minutes later & she immediately went to stand on the stairway after sending TJ downstairs to get the laundry & surprisingly enough after I grabbed him & begged her NOT to send my babyboy into the danger zone, he happily went WITHOUT hesitation!
