hi everyone.
channel 11 news is doing a piece on memoirs of a geisha, the new movie coming out based on the book of the same name. julie chang was asking me if i knew of anyone who had actually been a geisha. the only person i knew was uncomfortable sharing that part of her life on television. so, i turn to this board. i'm looking for someone who has lived as a geisha, for a significant period of time. preferably in japan, but if you haven't lived abroad, it's ok.
to be honest, i don't know much more. i'm not sure what she's going to ask, etc., but i think it might be a nice experience. so, if you're interested, please send me an email and let me know your experience. again, i must stress that she is looking for real people, not actors or anyone who just wants to get in front of a camera.
