I saw a woman wearing what looked like a modified set of red leather opera sleeves. It looked rather like a heavy leather shirt that had no back and buckled in front of the chest for a rather secure looking fit. It turns out that the buckles are also placed for a better (restrictive) fit while having the arms spread. Hooray for buckles. I asked her master where he got such a wonderful item, and he said they were custom fitted "whipping sleeves". The back is open for whipping/ strapping and the arms, being more fragile, are protected. What a wonderful idea! While I had never before heard of these, I was delighted (and being a switch, intrigued) to discover such a wonderful piece of gear. I was just wondering, has anyone has seen these before? I'd like to know where I might purchase a set...
