Okay, so i'm clearly stupid today...Despite the fact that i've been wearing contacts for the last 20 years, today i did something i've never before done. i have this clear care solution that is not supposed to be put directly into Your eye. Well, that's pretty much what i did about 20 minutes ago or so. i put it in the contact (because it has randomly fallen out of my eye) and put it into my eye..... After the BURNING, HORRIBLE INTENSITY, and finally being able to somehow remove my contact; i'm sitting here now in pain..... He left to do the mother's day thing with His mom. i promised Him if the burning returned or if i began to lose vision i'd call Him. But seriously, i want to remove my entire eye right now...Any suggestions?? any solutions???? Kali (who may just be blinded for life now)

there should be a number on the bottle.. call them. ack, just realized that may have come off sounding snarky, and it wasnt meant to. Seriously, the makers should have a hotline for you to call, and they can tell you what measures to take...

Aside from calling yes yes, irrigate it?Hold a palmful of water and slosh it onto your eye over and over, rinsing out the crap but please call first.

Take the lenses out and wash your eye out with lukewarm water, don’t take chances with your eyes. If you can’t find the lens and it is of the soft variety it may have folded up and is under your eyelid. If the lens is stuck to your eye which is hard to imagine you should probably have a go at washing it out with warm water.

I've done that before. It will be fine.. Irrigate it with saline solution and put a cold compress on it... Call the number on the bottle or call poison control.. But you will be fine.. YOu will be wearing your glasses for a few days though...

Kali, Raechard has given good advice, you need to keep flushing it with water, then seek emergency assistance... never mess with your eyes hon. Please get help for this and let us know how you get on.

see, sometimes i'm convinced this is why i dye my hair blonde..... It never once occured to me to call the number on the bottle....{Which, it took my three minutes to be able to focus my other eye enough to see}. They told me to call my eye care professional... Called the one covered by my capitalist insurance company and they asked if i wanted to talk to a patient advocate....uhmmm..okay... i talked to her she said a nurse would call me back within ten minutes...No call so far, but the redness has gone down, and the burning has stopped...My only real problem is the fact that the only pair of glasses i have are three hours away...ARGH!!!! By the way, Phin...i did as You suggested, now can't get the bleeding to stop...Suggestions??

Great....Now i'm going to have to start a freaking thread about damn poser Master's online who do nothing but encourage slaves to carve out their eyes and them leave them stranded and all alone.....Dialing 53 until they get that little recording saying they' ve reached a number which has been disconnected or is temporarily out of service..... First i was blind, but now i'm alone....all alone... eye matey Sir... :P Kali (who apparently has too much time on her hands today)

Actually if if you just close your eyes they will irrigate themselves with something much better than you could ever come up with. Or has everyone really forgot that ? T

I'm too late reading this thread to help you, but if it evers happens again--flush, flush, flush with water. I hope you are ok now. I got a drop of muratic acid in my eye when treating our pool once, never had anything hurt so badly. I flushed it with a hose for about 20 minutes straight then went to the eye doc. It swelled shut but was fine about 4 days later. From then on i've worn goggles when i treat the pool. The doc said if i hadn't flushed it i might of lost my eye. Acid is definitely a [sm=hardlimit.gif].

Don't feel bad, when i was wearing contacts i'd accidently forget, i think anyways, to wash my hands after touching jalpenos and then rubbing my eyes. Yea you get that burning feeling also. Just let the burning subside, then wash your contact lens with the solution, let it sit for a few min. then try to put it back in again. Good luck
