I believe that female subs are better than males om initial follow through--( I am NOT talking about after a sub is taken under a Mistress' wing)--I am talking about in the initial stages--I believe that females for example get the communication issue ( He/She wants to hear from Me at xxx times a day), where male subs are so missing in follow through--( yeah yeah, i'll send Her a note--well after the game, well when the guys are gone, well when i have a few minutes)---oh yeah I'll do this-well after She does this to Me so I can get focused...

Now there will be a few examples that say---No Mistress not true--but I think on the whole in the first 45 days--the women fare better at follow through--

Thoughts?

I could throw a monkey wrench into this thread and say that women "fare better" because women are naturally submissive and Men aren't.

BUT that's just my take on D/s - and the traditional role of a Male Dominated species..

I have had far better follow through with all the male subs I have taken on than any of the females. My females were of the "wel, if you are going to send your time with HIM, why should I bother?" ideas. They were jeaous from the beginning and far too competative, and thought mistakenly that communication and behavior would be a good leverage tool to get me more focused on them rather than their focus on me. If they misbehaved, they needed more of my time since they needed more "training" and I would focus more on them and less on Angel.
My opinion, of course, from my experience.

I think when you say "more naturally submissive" what's really happening is that females are conditioned to be more submissive by society, not necessarily naturally submissive from the get go.

as for the original post... I might be biased as a female sub but sometimes I think it works out better with females because again, we're taught about what's supposed to happen in a relationship as a part of society. Vanilla women will always worry about when a guy will call after a date... and I may be wrong but guys don't seem to fret about it as much. A submissive female would do what she'd like have done for her in a vanilla relationship and makes sure to call and whatnot. Just my two cents.

no idea, i'm always fine with deadlines, dates, appointments, specific times, and or generally just being available and being around, but routine schedules and quotas to meet for online talk-time...

I am kinda half with the OP. To me it seems that women are more open with communication generally, although there are obvious exceptions.

However, given the nature of a D/s relationship, surely the Dom/mes can take some responsibility for the lack of communication from the submissive regardless of sex. I would have thought some communication guidelines should be given to a submissive upon starting a relationship, i.e. I expect to be contact XXX amount of times a day. Or I will be available between these times and I expect a text/mail/whatever from you.

This has also been my experience as a Dominant as well. I've almost given up on taking on a femsub due to the jealousy and competativeness.

As for the comment that all women are submissive by another poster, nah no truth in that, no truth at all. We maybe conditioned that way, but in some cases the conditioning just did not take, too Dominant for it too. I've met a lot of males who aren't dominant as well, here again the conditioning didn't take.

I have to say that yes, girls are better. It could be a function of my age group, since I do not look for subs much younger than me---at least I haven't yet! And I do agree that much of their "better" behavior has to do with conditioning and practice from the vanilla side of life.

I certainly didn't mean that all women are submissive, the case is that most women are subject to submissive conditioning at one point or another. I didn't mean to leave out the exceptions to this not so static rule.

I'm with the OP - guys don't seem to understand that if I say I want you to email me about a specific thing or call me on a specific day, I actually EXPECT them to do it.
Guys, what's not clear about that? Help me out please..lol
