http://www.theregister.co.uk/2007/06/23/sentient_worlds/ this is intriguing. Read page 3. http://www.lifeaftertheoilcrash.net/Archives2007/BlogPentagon.html -I have been reading about peak oil. The effects are alarming. Simply put, 3x the population, using 2x the oil, and not much being found = challenges. From the media rushing to war, this was a mild psy op. Imagine the fake, rigged psy ops to come int the future. I seen on c-span that water is closely tied to energy. I figure we have 10 years. Then 5 years of erratic. Then w/in 20 years- it will be chaos and anarchy. If the peak oil website is correct- and if Bush planned 9-11 to grab oil, then he is a genius. The rub lies in that being global WTO party, we do for oil to China and India, not necessarily US. Therefore national security is fuzzy. Unless ALL of the above is a psy op, and I have been suckered ??

In my opinion, you've been suckered. The biggest clue is the perception that Bush is a genius instead of an idiot puppet controlled by corporate masters. Lots of people are still suckered by the idea that the world has to be be run by the energy sources we use today. Shifts can happen so quickly if they need to. We don't need to be using coal or oil any longer. It's over. But the wealthy elite behind coal and oil are going to fight tooth and nail for their unfair share of the marketplace - so don't expect them to admit that the energy sources of last century aren't needed today as they are very heavily invested in the perception that they are needed. High costs will spur private investment into alternative energy sources - and I mean at the level of the individual or one family. And then it really will be over for coal and oil, finally. Imagine a world where millions of homes are off the grid, or selling energy back to the grid. But hell, energy independence will be good enough. That will do. Big coal and big oil neglected to read the fine print on their fun token, it reads: good for one play only. ----- Dude, I read your links and they stink of some ideas that can be found in Isaac Asimov's Foundation Trilogy. The catch: we aren't really that good at modelling the future. Or hadn't you noticed that fact?
