I had to abandon my nipple piercings after they refused to heal. I still have points from time to time where they will ooze and it has been 2 years since they were removed. Apparently the piercer pierced too high and cut the milk ducts and the little bastiches refuse to heal completely.

Sigh..thinking aerolae piercings next time.

IF you go for a clitoral piercing, make sure that the person doing it is experienced. A hood piercing isn't that much of a big deal unless you have a very small hood, but you do want it to be done well. I had a triangle piercing done and it was mindblowing, both during and afterwards. I lost that piercing after a lithotripsy for a marble sized kidney stone and my ex2b at the time couldn't look me in the genitals to replace the ring (something very hard to do blind). Because the triangle piercing goes BEHIND the clitoral shaft (chance of nicking it or cutting it) you MUST have an experienced piercer. That is a piercing I want to have replaced as soon as I find a piercer I trust enough. A 4 orgasm piercing when it was done, but note, if you go for one take a maxipad with you..it will bleed but the cushioning will also be appreciated on the trip home.

You can find out a lot about piercings and migration at this site: http://wiki.bmezine.com/index.php/Main_Page

Good luck

My slave has 4 piercings currently she had 5. Yes the two nipple piercings are a frustration but are great visually. Hers are still sore after 2 years.

Nipple piercings take a notoriously long time to heal. Although rings are easier to keep clean, barbells are less likely to push out or so my piercer friends have told me. Having a cadre of friends who pierce professionally and fetishistically (made up a new word maybe?) has come in really handy. Just had my ears repierced to 10 gauges and am going to have my nipples done shortly. I was told to expect oozing and gooze, 3x/day cleaning for at least 4-8 months. Sounds like yours are not healing and are rejecting. Go back to your original piercer, get their opinion (for what it's worth) perhaps ask for a refund (but don't expect it) and then get a few different opinions from other piercers as to how to proceed.

My personal preference is to stick with multiple temporary nipple piercings.  No longterm oozing and stuff or jewelry snagging and getting in the way. The only thing is it's little too soon to re-pierce and clamp within the same week, two week break is better

Just don't know why my nipples are getting bigger.

If they're badly placed and not going well, it may just be a sign to let them have their way. If we kept messy souvenirs from every orgasm... I really do understand; i came the first time i got my crotch high lace up boots on. And the first time i ever ... Ok, that's a fetish but slathering the Vitamin E oil really helps, even surgeons have latched on to that one.

Are you wearing a bra? They can be hellish moisture and germ traps, especially polyester ones- and if it keeps the thing from getting dry that could be a problem.

My two cents is let them heal and be redone by somebody who's competent enough to place them right. You'll cum again and look a lot better topless.

Here is excellent advice for aftercare of piercings - http://www.infinitebody.com/index2.html

Nipples take 6 months to a year to fully heal, so it's not surprising you are still having issues with them. Never take out an infected piercing! Properly treat the infection until it has cleared up before removing the jewelry or it will continue to fester inside with no way to escape. It could very likely end up needing to be lanced and drained.

The problems that most commonly occur usually happen because people are mistakenly treating their piercing as a surface wound instead of a puncture wound. They are very different. I used to work at a shop that sold body jewelry and I've had many piercings myself (including nipples more than once). I saw all kinds of awful infections because people didnt know they were doing something wrong. Most of the time they were following bad instructions or were just guessing because no one showed them what to do. Using too harsh of a product is one of the biggest issues - rubbing alcohol, hydrogen peroxide, bacitracin, neosporin, betadine, or pierced ear solution should NOT be used on an ongoing basis. These products irritate and dry out the skin and delay healing. Just use an antimicrobial/germicidal soap that's not full of colors, fragrances, or moisturizers. A liquid tea tree oil soap from a health food store is a great natural option.

Most important after cleaning with an appropriate product is to do a warm sea salt soak for several minutes every day. You will be amazed at the difference it makes in just a week!

Of course in your case, especially with the uneven placements, your body may just be rejecting them. You might have to just heal it up and get it redone. Don't use oil or anything greasy (triple antibiotic ointment = bad for this!) that will trap bacteria against the wound until it is fully healed. It's better to get both done by the same person so they are placed symmetrically. They should mark the location while they are soft and hard, because nipples rotate slightly when they become erect. Depending on nipple size it can be very noticable and you probably don't want to get crooked when you get turned on, hee hee.

Good luck!

Some ok advice in here, so I won't repeat any of the others.  One of the problems with my old nip rings was that the piercer put a little gouge in one of the rings when he clamped it shut.  My nip would do well for a few days, then one day i would turn it and the pain and oozing would start again.  I took a real close look at it one day, and saw the ding in the side of it.  Turns out the little gouge was scraping and cutting the inside of my nipple when ever I moved it.  Got the ring replaced by the original piercer for free, and it healed up nicely.  About 2 years later it started to migrate, so I just took it out, and took it as a sign not to get it redone, since piercings that migrate will most likely push out the scar tissue as well.

BTW sorry the bad sentence structure and lack of paragraphs, I am quite exhausted right now.

Almost the exact same thing has happened to me. I got my right nipple pierced with a titanium captive bead ring. It started migrating and rejected, despite following care instructions. When I investigated further, I found that placement is key. The peircing has to be just above the areola at the base of the nipple. Barbells are also key. Think about it: putting a curved ring in a striaght hole isn't going to work well. Once my first piercing healed fully I was easily able to get it repierced. It didn't hurt any more than it did the first time. I had very little scar tissue though. You couldn't even see it really.

Hope this helps. Good luck.

Okay, had to call my Piercer on this one.

Although you would never look at me and think Body Mod up until a year ago I had my Tongue Pierced Twice, and Both my Nipples Pierced. Do to professionalism I removed the Tongue Rings but the nipple rings I have kept and maintained.

My Nipple Rings are 9 years old and haven't Moved or Migrated for a FEW reasons according to my Piercer.

One the nipple ring is Just Behind the nipple in the Areola which is the most accepting place to put a nipple ring because it keeps the nipple from rejecting the Piercing. If your Nipple rings were put through the nipple then they should have been put as far back as the piercer could make them.

My Piercer used to work for Pricks in Vegas and has done international piercing conventions, I was even a model (No not the sexy kind) for him at one where he did 75 piercings in 20 mins up and down my back . Temporary Piercings don't scar the the outside and the scar tissue is minimal so to look at me you would never know it. I like Piercings they are fun and I think they are pretty.

If your piercings are being rejected there are 4 major reasons.

1) The Piercing is in Tissue that has a tendency to reject foreign objects
2) You are not cleaning it properly or are using scented soaps and the nipple is trying to reject the irritation.
3) It isn't rejecting it you have only had them for 5 months and you are maintaining an infection which is why it seems you are rejecting them
4) You are part of the 2% of people whos bodies reject any flesh piercing what so ever, except earings because of the lack of blood flow in the ears.

So there you have it this is what my piercer said hope that helps.

I would go to the piercer and ask them what they think however try to get the SHOP OWNER to be there when you do. They don't want law suits so they tend to give the RIGHT advice where a Piercer doesn't wanna get fired so they just want to get you out of the shop.

I hope that this can go in this section.  Anyway, here goes.

So, got my first tattoo and that's super awesome, but that's not the body mod I'm irritated with.

I'm irritated with my nipple piercings. I used to have them both done, but when I would get regular pain from my left as well as seeing it starting to be pushed out through the tip, I knew it was time for it to go. And now, for my right, I'm starting to really really dislike it. It's starting to get pain as well, and it's further down, but it looks like it's basically being constantly tugged and it's inflamed. I got these piercings in February for cryin' out loud and it feels like neither of them have healed!

What happened, when I first got my nipples pierced, the owner of the shop pierced my right, and his assistant pierced the left.  Owner went down really low, got through some of the areola, and his assistant pierced my left, and I could tell as soon as the needle went through that she screwed it up and made it too high.

Ugh, hate this so much. I talked to a piercer girl at a different shop and she said that I should let the left heal for three months and use vitamin e oil to soften the scar tissue so that she can repierce it. I'm thinking I may have to let that happen with my right one too.

I'm disappointed with it, really I am. I love these piercings so much but it's just not working and I don't understand why. I followed all the directions to keep it clean while it was healing, don't let anyone put their mouth on it, don't play with it with dirty hands, etc. etc. And yet it's still not working.

Anyone know anything about this? Give me some advice? Should I get them repierced or is it just not worth my time?

my first advice (albeit a lil late) would be to have the same person do both nips... since you can't go back in time... it sounds to me as if the last piercing is being rejected. It makes absolutely no difference if you have allergies or not. Your body detects something that doesn't belong and it does what it can to get rid of it. i had the same thing happen. My piercer recommended waiting a MINIMUM of 3 months before repiercing. He said that once you have a rejection, sometimes the resulting scar tissue will help to hold the next piercings. i, personally, never worked up the courage to test his theory out and i've decided i like cloverclamps too much to pierce again. Besides, the healing time sucked. i couldn't even touch the poor things for weeks without it hurting like a mother.
So, take out the existing piercing and let your body heal. Then you can decide if you want to risk repiercing or not. There's no guarantee that subsequent piercings won't do the same thing.
