I have been trolling this site as a new comer for quite some time now.  I have learned a great many things & met quite a few interesting people.  Before I had become curious though, I had been interested in serial killers.  Through My research, I discovered a rather sick & twisted individual named "John Edward Robinson."*  I would like to get everybodies feelings on this savage creature & what can be done to help protect the community from such a thing from happening again.

*For those who don't know who he is, go to http://www.crimelibrary.com/serial_killers/predators/john_robinson/14.html
and read about him.

Lucky you, you got a Termy post.

The article doesn't say much about what he actually did.

Your question was how do we protect the community. Well this is a very decadent society, the supreme court has ruled that they do not have to protect people and sometimes rules that people can't protect themselves. Otherwise they would overturn every gun law ever made.

The only solution is for people to protect themself.

This brings up many problems for people who play the BDSM game. How do you protect yourself when you are bound so tightly you can't even go to the bathroom ? When you meet someone new you simply don't know. It is a dangerous game.

The article said nothing about his career as a serial killer. But involving BDSM is another black eye for us. In fact to be true about it, maybe he was kinky, but just a little too kinky.

Now that is a bit scary. For most people, death is a hard limit, it also has a negative impact on the longevity of the relationship of course. I met a girl on IRC who wanted to cut me up. I am not into that but we bandied it back and forth. She didn't want to really hurt me, but using a knife she would cut me and the scars would be like an artform.

I guess I can understand that, it takes all kinds, and we got em. But I would no doubt be restrained during this. Now we have someone who might be a crazy Woman, and has confided in me that she was sexually abused. I doubt a Woman sexually abused her.

The way it added up, I turned her down. I mean if you are telling me that you want to tie me up and cut me up, what AREN'T you telling me ? But then we can't psychoanalyze everyone we meet.

So we walk the line. There is a risk.

You are probably aware that a couple of years ago a guy used this very website to exact revenge on his ex, got her raped. As I see it this is a very negative thing for our "scene". She had no membership, he posed as her and got one, and set it all up. Gave her personal info, address, work, schedule, all that. Personally I am glad the dickhead got busted. Perhaps Bubba is showing him what it feels like to get raped.

But when you play the game, anybody could be a nut. How can I prove to you that you can trust me with your life ? Think about it, there is always risk.

And the thing is some people really do want a rape scene. I originated the thread "How to tie a Man". I don't know if that is exactly what I would want, but I did muse about it, it's interesting.

Actually I think there is no choice, the risk will always be there. But you only live once. Y'know the word orgasm is derived from French and means "little death". Just try to avoid the big death I guess.

But one big shift in society, one which is much to my dismy, is the fact thatn people no long want to protect themselves. They want a government, a labor union, or some other association to protect them. This is not our way, or at least it is not my way. I see it as a gang mentality.

People forget, nobody owes you shit. Your safety is your own business, ultimately.Don't be stupid, I bet most people who die in these situation were stupid, one way or another. It could be an accident, but death is unacceptable. And if it was on purpose they failed to figure out the guy was a loon.

I guess the last word is - be careful out there.

lol... Is it me or does anyone else see the irony of someone wondering how we protect community from serial killers when the picture they post is one of those Jason hockey mask serial killer movie pictures?

In response to T, the article does go into quite a depth of detail.  Along the right hand side, there are several links to the different pages of the story.

-Laughs- Well juliet, at least it is gotten off the chest in the beginning.  But you must always remember...

I'm surprised you came across this recently. The story of "Slavemaster" is very well known. It well shows you what can and does happen. Unfortunately though, if you reference a newbie to the details of that case, you'll probably be labelled an alarmist.

I recently saw this on Cold Case Files on A&E TV.  Apparently, this guy would put out ads for women looking for an international secretarial job as well as being involved with the BDSM community.  He would also go to the homes of unwed mothers and prey upon them as well.  After these women would answer and correspond with him, he would place them in a hotel room for 3-4 days, pay for their bill, and then they would disappear.

He has killed 5 women and police stated the reason why he killed these women was for personal financial gain.  One of them would be on Social Security payments and the other would have alimony checks mailed to her coming from her ex husband.   This repugnant being would forge their signatures on these checks and collect the money himself.

One murder victim had a baby and he gave the child up for his brother to adopt.  Years later, this girl discovered that her mother was murder by her so-called "uncle".

He was finally sentenced to death in 2003 and started this crime spree in 1984!

This makes me very aware about safety and granted not everybody in the BDSM community is like this serial killer but it takes time to get to know people.

If something does not seem right, I would follow my gut instincts and be safe.  If I am going to play with someone, I would do a safe call and leave this individual's phone number with the people who are my friends and perhaps their license plate number.  It is better to be cautious than to be dead!  Be safe.
