Being trained in massage therapy, even basic MT, is an asset. I completed my coursework in 15 months, but I know of several schools who complete in six months or so. The benefits are amazing for a domme, and she'll be quite appreciative. :)

Also, knowing how to cook is quite desireable, at least to me. I've never had someone cook for me (aside from the Easy Mac...lol).

Some others, just off the top of my head, are mani/pedicurist, hair stylist, secretary, interior designer, and web developing. Some take time and money to learn, and some can be picked up quite easily.

Basic secretarial skills -- taking dictation, typing -- can be helpful if your mistress is a professional.

Driving! Big plus for me cause I HATE driving.

Also just having a good cultural foundation -- reading fiction and non-fiction, pop culture, movies, etc. Of course it helps then if you then find a mistress with similar tastes.

Hello,

I tend to lurk, but decided to chime in on this one. Yes, massage is a lovely skill, as is being able to give a good pedicure. In addition to learning a correct table setting for 12, you should learn how to serve properly. Serving at a dinner party is a useful skill.

I also require basic domestic chores, painting and general handyman skills.

Be well,

`Cloudz

If you're going to go to the effort of learning how to set a table, having a good grasp of wines as well as their proper temps/service/food pairings would be appealing. Having all of the pieces, setting, food, wine, service that all are skillfull paired is a decidance that is hard to come by. When all senses are stimulated your guests will be talking of your skill for ages. Sorry the rant of a foodie.

I agree with the above quote.
MsN, appreciates that I am a good cook and I can artistically present a meal.
Adding to the above, MsN also appriciates, my gardening skills, specific laundry skills and household chores, organizational skills, commputer skills.

She likes that She can depend on me to run the household and the gardening, so that when she arrives home from work she most of the time can eat dinner and go relax.

That's when good massage skills come into use, when all the dishes are in the washer, we will usually relax and watch some TV and I will massage some aching muscles, or a favorite of MsN is to tickle her with my fingernails or feathers, it really helps Her let go of Her day.
So I think she appreciates my ability to soothe Her.

She likes the fact that I know how to use power tools and know what I'm doing when using them.
Then of course there is great play skills and willing to try almost anything hot sex.

Good Luck in finding the things that work for your future Mistress.

If you're interested in learning how to do a multi course meal, read up on the French Laundry restaurant. French Laundry is a little over the top but it IS the ultimate. For basic classical cook books, CIA's The Professional Chef is a must, and "The Way to Cook" by Julia Child. Ok well ANYTHING by Julia Child. CIA also has a bunch of cook books designed for the at home cook. Epicurious.com is a great recipe resource once you have basic skills down pat.

If you're going to cook, know how to properly serve at table. Again, there's a LOT of books out there on proper table service. I'm a service geek; I have several. They are aimed at fine dining, which is exactly the standard you need to shoot for.

How to do housework properly is a must. Good knowledge of how to clean and mend clothes. Know how to IRON. Massage, pedicures, manicures, knowledge of how to care for basic illnesses. Knowledge of how to care for her car from keeping it clean to when to get the oil changed or take it in for regular maintenance.

Know how to care and maintain her fetish toys and wardrobe.

TIME MANAGEMENT.

Other services: keeping an eye out for newly released books, movies, music, upcoming local events she might be interested in.

So much of this is stuff you can work on learning when you don't have someone to serve, yet so few do. It would about blow my socks off if I stumbled across a sub who bothered to take some basic massage courses or even just got a book on manicures and practiced on a friend.

I suppose that would depend on needs of particular domme.
I love to cook and I would hate anyone else messing around my kitchen. I love to drive too and no way I would let you have the wheel of my car (I rarely let my hubby have it and he is professional driver). I find cleaning my home and rearanging things very relaxing, so I am not letting anyone do that but me. The gardening is my dear hobby as well as web-design....... I am happy when I have time to do that.
I dont really need much pedicure or manicure - my job is nails-killer and I just keep them short and tidy. My hair is my pride and I find fun in experimenting with it, but I do it myself always...... I like it that way.

Massaging would be lovely though, and what I really need is someone who can handle cats - my persian needs lot of hair care and he doesnt like it.
Otherwise....... just sex. Thats the one thing I hate to do by myself
