Things have gotten kind of gross on the nipple front.  I mean bloody green discharge gross. 

But, after soaking in hot salt water and massaging the area, I managed to drain some of the fluid out of the piercing holes and my nipple actually popped back out a little. 

I did some research on the causes of inverted nipples and figured there's a blocked milk duct.  As icky as the discharge is, it still doesn't seem infected.  I've had breast infections before when I was nursing, and this is different.  I've upped my vitamins and will start eating garlic.

If nothing else, the garlic with keep anymore vampires from wandering near. 

And the green oozing nipples will keep everyone else away from my tits.  Cause, like, a good offense is the best defense and there's nothing more offensive that bloody green ooze.

Yeah, I have a lot of time on my hands right now. :)

the green ooze is pus..hence an infection....

a topical antibiotic (like neosporin) shoud be applied...

This is just my opinion, kiddo....

I second that. If you're oozing yellow, green or even off white stuff, it is infected.

Griswold, you are such a slut...first you offer your services to the original poster, then to aileen. If you keep this up, some of us might start feeling a little left out.

Edit: By the way, is it possible that it isn't really inverted but that the areola around the nipple is inflamed, from infection and whatnot?

That was my very first thought...  Go see a Dr.  Long-term infections can turn life-threatening, if unattended-to.

my left nipple inverted a bit after i took the original piercings out.  since i had them redone in march (and the left migrated AGAIN dammit!) its been fine.  pops out like a little trouper!  [:D]

Dear.  Darling. Sweetheart.

GREEN BLOODY PUS is a bad thing.  I can give you advice about alcohol and bactrim and other things, but I'm not a doctor.  I don't play one on TV.  If it's bleeding and emitting pus, you need to have someone look at it, what ever it is.

This sounds like an infection.  If the piercing hasn't closed over yet (and you can still get a ring into the piercing) pop the ring back in to keep the piercing draining.  Do not remove it until the infection is gone.  Apply some antibacterial soap or the like to the ring and rotate the ring in the piercing (making sure that you clean the discharge off the ring as you go) cleaning it as if the ring were still in (it will hurt a bit, but keep doing it, twice a day).  This should pass the antiseptic through the piercing, and help clear the infection out.  Use a warm salt water wash a couple of times a day as well (add a teaspoon of salt to a litre of water..this is the correct PH for skin healing).

I've had every piercing that people tend to want to get, and have had nearly ten years experience with having piercings.

As for the inverted nipple, some people are just born with them (both of mine have been inverted all my life...I've had my nipples pierced twice, but both times, the rings migrated).  My guess is that your nipple has inverted as part of your body's healing process.

Amazingly enough, the damn boob seems to be on the mend.  Its not sore, its not swollen, its still oozing green stuff a little bit, but it feels exactly the same as the other boob and I can pinch it and poke it and prod it.

It would be a major commitment for me to see a doctor as I don't have any medical insurance so I really was hoping things would sort themselves out.  I only posted  because I was sooooo weirded out by how much icky green stuff was coming out, I was like, omg, I gotta tell somebody!   Ok, yeah, I can get morbid.

Go to a doctor!!! 

I have minimal insurance. 

I dropped a loaded suitcase on my big toe about 10 days ago.  I had it x-rayed a day later because it hurt so bad.  It wasn't broken and I was told all was well.  About a week later, it was still "oozing and pusing" so I called my doctor for a prescription because I thought it was infected.  I ended up having to go to a specialist and having to had the toe nail removed.  (NOT FUN!!!)  If I wouldn't have seen the doctor I could had a major infection on my hands (well toe) and been in serious trouble.

Your health is worth money than money!!!  Please go see someone!

OMG, get to a doctor ASAP, please. Bloody green puss means you have a bad infection! If its progression isn't halted, it can quickly turn life threatening. If you wait too long to get proper medical attention, you could die. Go to the doctor! You can go to the County Health Department, the nearest free clinic, charity hospital, etc... If it were me, I'd go right to the nearest doctor, medical facility, or ER immediately and worry about the bill later. Your health should be priority ONE, regardless of your income. Take good care of yourself, for your sake and for those who love you.

Yes - green goo means an infection but if your breast isn't painful, red or inflammed, then it isn't a deperate situation. Wash it two or three times a day, massage tribiotic ointment into the holes, and keep clean gauze over it, and you should be ok.

If it starts to swell up, get red or starts and becomes increasingly painful see a doctor right away.
