Make sure that the Domme who pees on you drinks only sugarless Pepsi?

Just explain that it is something you won't do.. a hard limit if you feel that it is dangerous for you.If you're actually asking us if it is okay and healthy to do I suggest you ask your doctor about safety, otherwise it is okay to have a limit on a particular activity.

Unless they have a bacterial bladder infection, urine is sterile when it comes out of the body anyway.

And everyone, regardless of their health, should take body fluid precautions again the possibility of viruses like HIV and Hepatitis.

There are plenty of Doms out there who aren't into watersports.  If you're really squicky about it, just say so, and pass by the ones who are.

Never knew diabetics were susceptible to every bug out there. Good information.
If that needs to be a hard limit for you due to health concerns, a good Top/Domme is not going to have an issue with it.

Urine is sterile.

OK unless you have an infection of some type.

Find a guy who doesn't play with bodily fluids...

I know this is health and safety but it really bugs me when someone generalizes like you just did. Being a diabetic does not mean you are prone to any germ or bug out there. (and yes, I am a diabetic)

Now maybe you have a few more health issues and thats why you said what you said, but please do not put it all on "being a diabetic"

MissMagnolia -> RE: Health issue ive been confronted with a few times (5/25/2008 7:00:27 PM)

*Agree's with Laura*.

Also, golden showers don't necessarily mean that you are required to drink the urine. Some just like to piss on you. I'm a D and don't require anyone drink my urine, so no, not all D's do that.

OP, given your other posts, maybe you come up with excuses so that you don't have to actually meet a Dom?

ownedgirlie -> RE: Health issue ive been confronted with a few times (5/25/2008 9:24:04 PM)

My Master is diabetic and not susceptible to every bug out there.  Same with my mother and my uncle, and so was my grandmother.

I'd imagine if you are susceptible to everything out there, you'd be concerned about saliva and semen as well.  However, if you're going to ingest it, know what meds the urine-giver is taking and how they might affect you, and be sure he/she is STD free.  If it's just going to be showered on you, you still want the person to be STD free.

If it's just something you don't want to do, talk to the Dom/me about it first.

DS4DUMMIES -> RE: Health issue ive been confronted with a few times (5/25/2008 9:43:34 PM)

For the record, I have type 2 diabetes, and went this entire winter without a single cold, despite a major flu outbreak here. In fact, I've not had a significant cold, let alone any other sort of illness in nearly 2 years....so being diabetic does not mean an endless procession of illnesses.

Just wanted to set that straight.....

well ever since i developed diabetes i seem to get sick a lot more often.

lusciouslips19 -> RE: Health issue ive been confronted with a few times (5/26/2008 4:37:49 AM)

There are steps you could take that would improve your health and probably make your diabetes disppear. You are too young to develop type 2 diabetes  Steps you could take proactively would improve your health.

So why do you chose to insulate yourself from life?

Actually your urine is sterile only to you.  Not to others.  Which is why if you have athletes foot and pee on your own feet it cures them.  Yet if you pee on someone elses it does not cure them.

I'll accept that sub4, didn't really think about it at the time.

pinksugarsub -> RE: Health issue ive been confronted with a few times (6/3/2008 8:15:11 AM)

Pee is hard limit for me...not just for the usual reasons, but also because i don't want to cope with the extra housekeeping it would entail.  i can't imagine exactly how a mattress could be completely protected and i dun wanna sleep on a pee-soaked bed.  My bath isn't designed for peeing in and i'd have to scrub the hell out of it afterwards.  (i really don't know where else P/pl into watersports might be actually peeing.)

Termyn8or, i can't imagine that urine remains sterile for very long; left onna bathrrom floor or something, i bet it's a great place for bacteria to flourish.

Anyway, s'not my issue cuz it's a hard limit for me.

BTW, to the Op:  sorry about yr coming down with diabetes.  That really sucks.  Hope all goes well for you.

CurvyCleanFreak -> RE: Health issue ive been confronted with a few times (6/9/2008 2:28:53 AM)

If you look at the amount of hormones secreted in urine (especially in a female on a hormone treatment) and other meds I'd just avoid ingestions or orifice introduction at all. I wouldn't be worried about it on the skin unless your skin is CRAZY sensitive.

L8bloomer -> RE: Health issue ive been confronted with a few times (6/10/2008 1:12:55 AM)

Unless you do have a urinary tract infection, urine is sterile - but only in the bladder. Once it makes its way out of the body it can pick up skin cells, bacteria that is present on that individual's skin, mucus and all kinds of fun stuff. I know because I examine it every day at work. (Oh joy.)

:)

Edit: And what CurvyCleanFreak said too. Kidneys are a sort of filter. They remove toxins and metabolites from drugs (those that are water soluble) and a whole host of other items. Sterile means (medically speaking) that it is free from microorganisms. That doesn't mean there isn't other yucky stuff in there. :D

Edit #2: Oh, to clarify another point...we are all susceptible to the bugs (microorganims) in the world. If you have a competent immune system, it will usually handle any of these invaders without you even being aware of it. It's a fact that diabetics are more susceptible to infections due to a compromised immune system - not compromised like an AIDS patient would have, just not as competent as a non-diabetic.
