wendytv42 -> Ballet boot stockists in San Francisco? (5/27/2008 5:41:21 AM)

I'm going to be in San Francisco for work sometime next month and am hoping to squeeze in a little time to do some shopping. The number-one item on my wish-list is a pair of thigh-high ballet boots. While I could buy them online, I reckon the coolest place on earth to buy them would be in San Francisco. :D

The type I'm looking for is the 3020 7in spike-heel, thigh-high, lace-up front with side-zip, black patent model from Devious such as these from Dimout Shoes.

My foot-size is 9-10UK, which I reckon is an 11-12US, but obviously the benefit of buying in person rather than online would be the ability to try them on in order to get the right size.

So, any advice on where to shop in San Francisco? I've found Foot Worship and Madame-S online, but haven't had any reply to my emails to them to find out if they have these boots in stock.

Thanks for any help!

Wendy

If Foot Worship doesn't stock anything like it, noone else in town will have them I'd guess. Foot Worship is where all the fetishists, strippers, working girls, and those who love ladies extreme shoes and boots shop.

We fucking love the place....

Just be careful with those... They're Chinese construction, so in three wearings i pulled off one of the lacing hooks and snapped one of the heels [&:]

Unfortunately the cheap ballet boots that devious makes while are very nice and actually worth the money. They will break since the heels are super thin. If they are just bedroom shoes that you wont try to stand in or such they will work great. For walking in you want the expensive ones with the really thick heels. My pair back in 99 was 450.00 with the thick heel. they still look great but after 9 years they arent walkable anymore.

Thanks for all the advice - looks like a trip to Foot Worship is definitely in order! Thanks too for the cautions regarding their construction - while I don't think I'd be attempting to walk in them anytime soon it would be nice to have that option, so I might look at some of the more expensive makes, especially since trying to get ballet heels repaired in not-so-kinky-Scotland might prove to be a bit tricky... :D

Thanks again!

There is a place down in Santa Clara called Pierre Silber.  They have a website and you can have them get the size you want in the store to try on prior to purchasing it.  Santa Clara is about 45 minutes from SF.  Just a thought for you.  here is link to website.  http://www.pierresilber.com/

Does Dal Jeets carry ballet boots at the store front?

Daljeets does carry some boots but I don't believe they carry them ballet style boots and honestly Foot Worship would have better selections and prices. Daljeets no longer makes their own boots either in case anyone was wondering.

Guess who is now the proud owner of not one but two pairs of ballet boots? :-)

Foot Worship was closed on the only day I had free to shop in San Francisco, but from the outside it definitely looked cool. Madame-S was open that day and although they didn't have ballet heels in my size they did have a fantastic range of clothes and toys - it would have been very easy to spend a fortune in there. But the winner was Pierre Silber - and many thanks to bdsmcouple for suggesting them!

Thanks again for all your advice!

Your wish is my command... although it took longer than I thought waiting to get the photos approved.

In addition I discovered just how hard it is to take a photograph of ballet boots while wearing them...

I've added a couple of photos to my profile page - hope you approve!

If the heels break (like ours did), you can always do this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NEFKIB1Dm7U
