The starter on my car shit the bed yesterday and I can't get it fixed 'till Monday. So, today, I had to cancel and miss out on a dungeon date. Here I sit, bereft , sipping wine, spodee-odiee and compulsively posting. * sigh*

4th edition is probably the most dramatic change yet from one edition to the next.  I could try and describe some of the changes but without the context of what else is changed a lot of them probablly wouldn't make sense.

Wizards no longer memorize their spells daily for instance though - they have a series of spells that are usable once per encounter, some that are usable once per day, some that are "at-will" type actions, etc.  (They also roll attack rolls for their spells with the target's modified Save as the "Target AC.)

I need to read 4, but currently I am dealing with Fed and Empire.
What did I do today? I turned 29, went for a drive since it is nice outside. Then of course the tie rod decided to snap, leaving my front drivers side wheel a crooked limp useless bit of hardware, and pulled the driveshaft halfway out of the transmission. I won't be forgetting this birthday anytime soon, no matter how hard I try. I can afford to fix all this, so I am not too terribly upset, but the timing could certainly be better.

Woke up...
Rolled out of bed...
Dragged a comb across my head...
Found my way downstairs and had a smoke...

Just got back inside, at work, decided to eat my lunch out in the "farm" sitting in a 9 meter dish that we took off line last week, enjoying the view of the mine and the good weather :)

now back to work

Woke up with a phone call from my sister about my brother.  Called some friends with the news.  Posted online for a while.  Found out that so many people are kind beyond words.  Have done massive amounts of laundry.  Threatened to throw the Things' stuff away if it doesn't get cleared up.  Am about to throw said stuff away since they don't seem to understand that I mean business.  Hmphphph.....
