For me it has to be actual Dominance.. A rare find in my experience.

Not a single sub but i will give this a shot...

For me,  a Dominant must have:
  • self-control (especially when angry)
  • maturity
  • integrity (and not expect me to compromise mine)
  • financially stable (able to pay the bills and provide for the needs of the household, not a bum who can't hold down a job)
  • consistant
  • sense of humor
All of these things were part of the attraction i had for my Master (especially the sense of humor thing -- hee!).  i could list a great many other qualities that make me admire Him, but these were necessary traits, thanks to the *ahem* individual i was married to.

the thing that i become most attracted to in a Dominant is when i am spoken to as a person, gain a friend and then go from there (mind, soul, body)...there are way too many on here looking for a one time piece of ass and nothing more.

God forbid You correct them when they are out of line, they will refer You to 'dating' sites and tell You that You are not in the right place! all of this coming from people who have no idea what a true connection is about... without connection there is nothing that would interest me in that person.

as far as 'must haves'... hmmm... well, i would have to say that we would both have to be attracted to one another, respect on both parts and loyalty to one another. the same interests would help out a lot and the understanding that nothing is always perfect!

Speaking about selfcontrole, that goes both ways ofcourse,
I never understood the 'offer' of a sub, " here Ma'am
you can take ya anger out on me.."
It would just be plain stupid if one did such...
So common sence is also importent.

I also don't want to raise a baby, I'm raising My son
which is more then enough, so I want someone to work

For me, She has to have an aura about her that tells me that i am hers, and will do what she wills me to do. She has to be my friend, my confidant, my protector (wierd that a 300 LB competitive strength athlete would say that).
My future Domina will know when to be sensual and when to be cruel with me. She will listen to me when decisions need to be made, and take them into account when making her decision, so long as i voice my thoughts with respect.
i'm her property, so i want her to genuinely care about me.

...those things, plus sharing, actions/life/soul compatibility, I should be able to admire and respect him as a person and he admires and respects me as a person.  He is strong where I am weak and I let him lead me as he proudly leads our enjoyments to deeper and more meaningful levels, he is kind to my weaknesses like nurturing a flame within kindling, chemistry between our souls that sets off a never-ending fire, I support the flame that burns within him as he reaches further and farther down the road of life, he enjoys my passions that he lets me express and fill his life with, sharing a vision and purpose in the fundamental things in life, devotion and appreciation of each other as people, an expression of this in the little things we do everyday, an intelligence that we both admire, an equal effort in our lives, values that we share and build our lives upon, enjoying each others heart and soul like a gentle warm breeze blowing on each of ours, where I see in him limitless potential, and he sees in me his future...and each and every day is a new beginning of the same old thing.
