I'm sure this has been discussed before but indulge me, I'm bored.

This comes from me thinking about another thread about scene planning. I mentioned in that thread that I have a personal one bag rule when I'm going out to play. So I thought I'd ask, what do you take when you're going out to play? When I'm home its a different story as everything is in my playroom that I might want.

I do try to keep it to one toybag, but hey, no one asked me how BIG that toybag is *grin* actually I make sure that if necessary, I can carry it, although I rarely do. I do bring a cane case most of the time.

In my toybag, if I'm going to a playspace that I know well, I have many floggers, several pairs of different kinds of gloves, several cuffs, many small pointy things, double Ds, an extra pair of shoes, safe sex stuff, sometimes some smaller genital toys, my single tail, my whiskers whip, blind folds, ear plugs, and assorted other things I can't remember right now.

I am starting to bring rope which does require either some modification in my bag if I stick to one bag.

If I'm in a space that I don't know, I add in cleaning things to clean equipment, paper towels for all kinds of things, safety scissors and first aid stuff.

I find its important to take a small bag when I'm traveling for several reasons, one of them being that I'm often on a motorcycle so it makes me have to think creatively, carefully and critically about the toys I carry.

I love small things that pack a wallop and fit in a purse.

I used to cart several bags of what I would call 'crap' and used four toys -- while I like having lots of options, I also like the idea that I can have a great time with one bag. I also have the luxury when playing in home space (two here that I frequent) I often know folks there and could borrow if absolutely necessary.

When our local dungeon was on the fourth floor with no elevator one requirement for my subs was you must be able to carry 100 lbs up four flights of stairs. Now, I am much more simple in my toy bag. Of course, our regular play space has most of what I need for first aid/cleaning/aftercare (my sub washes and sanitizes all of the after-care blankets so I know they are clean).

I try to keep my bag to a carry-on size for a regular party and a bigger one if we are going to a weekend event. I always bring a ton of rope....at least 300 feet. I can use it for suspension, restraint, creating a private space etc. I also bring one set of my floggers that are made of synthetic material (I can play with anyone with these) there is one bungee, one nylon cord, one rubber and one chain). I like to bring a nylon hood, ball gag and also ear plugs. Of course...I never go anywhere without duct tape :-). I usually bring three paddles (leather, wood and metal)...they are slim and don't take up a lot of space, 2 evil sticks and one good knife.

Depending on my play mood or theme night....I have separate packs for other things and can add an extra bag easily for needle play, hot wax, violet wand and/or medical play.

Our space doesn't allow sex/penetration at this time so the sex toys, safe sex supplies and such all stay home.

One thing I've been doing lately since we have so many toys to choose from and usually end up using the same things over and over. When I instruct my pet to prepare the toy bag for the dungeon I tell him to put one thing in there we haven't used in awhile. As he unpacks for play I always get a kick out of seeing something old that is new again. Last time he broke out some old clothespin zippers we hadn't used in awhile. Fun!

I ALWAYS bring a comfy pair of shoes for myself and usually a change of clothes too.

Our play parties occur at my place, but I have all my goodies ready to go in a tall rollerbag. Let's see what I have in here...

I've got a pair of rope floggers, a suede flogger, 3 paddles, my extra wide spatula (great for warmups) , 2 crops, 3 pair flexcuffs, ALL of my handcuffs, legirons and waistchains (a conciderable collection), shrinkwrap in both 18 and 6 inches wide, first aid kit, 4 sets nipple clamps, EMS shears, spare change clothes, several rolls of vetwrap, couple gags and a head harness, posture collar, chain leash, leather cuffs, assorted hardware such as boat clips, padlocks, panic snaps, a bottle of hand sanitizer for both sterilization and fireplay, a aim-n-flame, and a oversized towel.

The only thing that doesen't fit is my 36" spreader bar and the wax machine.

On the thread you're referencing, I mentioned there that I don't think I could make it with the 'one bag' rule.

We're a multi-bag family. If we go anywhere, all of the bags come with us because I generally don't know what type of play I might want to do. There are a variety of floggers, mostly in pairs, of just about every color and texture you can think of. I'm also big on dragon ears, also in sets, including some four feet, because I prefer flourentine style more than anything else. I've found that the best thing for the canes, crops, and other long toys, is an old pool cue case. The wax set is in it's own bag (that's even if we don't bring the pot) because I don't want wax coming in contact with the leather. The violet wand is in it's own case, of course. Rope, leather restraints, blindfold, and ball-gag are all in clip's bag, along with various other things.

It sounds like a lot, and I admit that it is. To organize this when going to an event with play space, I stole an idea from someone in Atlanta to keep the toys arranged. It's basically a tripod with a bar stool type round top, that has hooks underneath. I can hang 24 sets of anything that dangles (floggers, etc.) in about a foot and a half of space. It breaks down and has a box of it's own.

Heaven help that poor boy when he has to drag all of this stuff (along with My other luggage) when we go to SELF in a week and a half! Somehow, I don't think he'll mind.

I am among the greedy toy hoarders,a single bag shall never do .Though most of my bags are separated by items , like Fire , Needles , Medical ,Rope ,etc , i do also have a few hodge podge bags too . It is very rare "like never" i load up and take every bag .LOL may need the dually for that . I can have fun with a few rubber bands some chop sticks , a paper clip or 2 , and my hands and teeth .Guess it all depends on what and what i shall be doing .

I used to have a reeeely bigass bag..... Then I had space to keep all my stuff. Now I thinned out the collection into a reeeely big plastic box thingy. And my new toybag: a Hello Kitty backpack with a rockin floral theme! This weekend we shall see if I packed it correctly.... I have a separate long narrow bag for canes, crops, and Long Things.

I have stashed in the Very Heavy Pack a bunch of floggers, some leather paddles, maybe one wood one....pinwheel...cuffs and snap hooks.....nipple clamps....not sure what else. No CBT stuff, since I can't use it in public.

Unless Fox and I are on vacation, the only time I go out to play is when I go to see Angel.
My playbag for that is diapers, panties, hose, baby oil, his bottle and occasionally baby food.

For Fox and I we talk about what we expect before we go out, and make sure it is small. Since I am a biter mainly, a pair of cuffs and my whartenburg wheel might be it for us. I travel very light

I am lucky that I have a strong contingent of friends who I often go out/meet up with. so i have a variety of whips, floggers and canes at my disposale.

my toy load depends on
1)location: club or dungeon or play party: while I love playing at clubs...lets face it i'm probably going to spend more time hanging out with friend or dancing then playing so a belt clip with a flogger and a length of rope will usually be more then enough
2) amount of equipment at the location: I won't bring the inversion boots if they don't have a suspension rig!

3)plans: a)these include before and after plans(i don't want to carry a big bag to a bar for drinks before heading to the event when we are then going to a house for an after party) and b) if I have play dates or not, or the likly hood of a play date (I always like to have some options but i don't want to carry a suitcase and not use it)

My general toy bag is smaller then the avg NYC woman's purse. it is light enough that anyone can carry it. for any length of time and not worry about the weight and it has enough room in it that I can add my jacket or sweatshirt to it if I'm getting hot.

my house (or I should say the trunk of my car since that is where most of my toys live) I have small bags/Kits for everything. my wax play kit. my rope bag, my knife pouch(which holds about 5-8 knives ninja stars and a variety of other sharp point objects) . the flogger and whip live in my general bag.

less is more... nothing was as unsexxy as my domme girlfriend using a giant beach sand toy bag filled with 50 different things and a giant spreader bar sticking out of it...and having to carry it because she couldn't walk 20 feet without putting it down to rest... just to go to a "club" and have the bouncer not let her in with the box of needles or the sharp pointy knife...then going inside and having her use the same 2 toys she always uses while the rest just sit there and gather dust... perhaps that is where my disgust of large toybags comes from...

now that is not to say that I don't love having a sexy specialized bag custom made to handle all your toys when traveling. but dragging it around all over the place is just annoying.

I'm lucky my current girlfriend doesn't like using toys anymore... her play consists of hands fists and very very sharp nails... (the only shame in it is that she is Excellent with a flogger...amazing technique both in placement and style) but that brings me back to my first point...yay for friends you trust who trust you with their toys.

also i have a bag fetish so i enjoy using them all

I have discovered the joys of soft gun cases - they are long enough to hold canes and whips easily and keep everything very neat. I typically bring a backpack and the gun case. That pretty much covers the majority of what I'd bring. (rope, soft floggers, cuffs, small biting things = backpack; canes, narrow whips or quirts, crops = gun case)

My sub's toybag is actually bigger than mine. Before we met, he went to an event where they were having a silent auction and someone talked him into putting an opening bid on everything there to get the ball rolling. Well, no one bid. LOL Now he has this HUGE toy bag (one of those suitcases on wheels) that he brings wherever we go and when he comes to our house for the weekend. I have one of those suitcases on wheels as well, but a rather small one. I usually bring all my floggers, my singletail, blindfolds, ball gag (in it's own plastic bag), crop, canes, rope, clothes pins, feather duster (did I mention he's very ticklish?), clips for attaching the cuffs, an extra set of cuffs (my sub has his own), scissors, needles, alcohol (in the indiviual little packs), nipple clamps, leather hood, a vatiety of small paddles, and my own disinfectant wipes because I hate the bleach that's always onhand. I like to wipe down my toys as I put them away and I would NEVER use bleach on them. I use the suitcase for all the items except the crop and canes. Those go into a gun bag I purchased at Walmart. If I decide to bring the violet wand, it has it's own case that it came in. I'll generally leave the violet wand in my trunk/the hotel room until I find out what kind of setup is available and how much energy I have for the evening. I can be sure that if I happen to forget anything, my sub is bound to have it in his bag.

Small things things that pack a wallop & fit in a purse.......first thing that comes to mind is a braided leather loop. AKA a carcass beater. i could not find a link to the one that i have, but the one at Adam & Gillian's site, if longer, is also nicer.

I love to play nurse and love enemas. If not for the sex and torture aspect, yet also for the deep clean feeling.
