man, between the heat and staying up most of the night i'm exhausted! and now it's beautifully cool (19C) so at least i can run around doing all the things i should have done today while i was sleeping....

just as well these wild weddings don't come around often

Good morning fellow pervs!!

The exciting news...i went out to the pasture yesterday about 2pm. One of the heifers had a very rare out of season birth, surprising the hell out of me. Even more rare...twins!!!!!! They had just been born, so i assume it happened about 1:30 (the same time our Greedy and Priate were hitched). The next rare thing is the temp yesterday hit 50 degrees...allowing them to survive. If they had been born the day before, i doubt they would have made it.
The names...Monkey and Pirate.

they have been in there since yesterday afternoon, Celeste. Mom is a first year heifer and should not have been bred (i wish that damn bull would keep it in his pants!) so she was pooped. I am actually amazed she did so well.

What really made me get mushy...as hard as it was, and as tired as she had to be, she would not quit caring for her babies: cleaning them, urging them to nurse, following them when they tried to wander off a bit on wobbly little legs. Amazing!
