Coming from NYC with both major airports on the water, bird/plane interactions are common. Usually it's just an aborted flight, wait for new equipment, clean up the runway but yeah every so often a plane slides into the water or there are injuries.

My brother flies bicoastal every month for work and he insists on night flights for this. There's never been a flock of owls sucked into an engine.

Argh, my flights lately are a choice between midday and dusk. West coast flights were dawn outbound and morning return.

I got the same respnse when I wanted my tubes tied at 25....the doc actually asked me what I'd do if my son died....I told him that it's not like replacing a puppy.....I'm not about to just pop one out as a replacement! I really didn't want kids to begin with....I love the one I have, and my neices and nephews are cool, but otherwise....keep the little monsters away from me.....

On a side note for the fliers in the group....no matter where I sit on ANY airplane, you can bet that I'll be surrounded by screaming babies and unruly children.....why don't people DRIVE??????? And it doesn't seem to matter when I fly....I took a late night flight once, and still was surrounded by cranky babies. ARRRRRGH! OK, rant over......

Ohm trust me, hun......you'll NOTICE KB......getting head butted at 3am, him walking across you as he crosses to the other side of the bed...sucking up the pillow space. But isn't it Saturday in your neck of the woods yet? These time zones are soooo confusing! I have a hard enough time keeping track of it with Daylight Savings Time every 6 months!

nope. another 4.5 hours or so til saturday. supposed to be really warm tomorrow, so i'm opening the house and damn the wind and pollen blowing around!!

I would LOVE to open my windows...but since it's still topping the 105+ mark here in Phoenix, I'll have to pass. I can't wait to get to FL just to be able to do that.....needless to say, I'll be getting a dehumidifier relatively quickly! But oh, to smell FRESH air.....heavenly!
