How is everyone this OH-SO-FINE Monday morning?


Oh.. . . I LIKE Christmas!  I already have my Christmas shopping list started!  Yep yep yep! But NO gingerbread house this year!

Have any of you seen the "Halloween" gingerbread house kits that they have now?  Oy Vey!

Status: offline 		Of course I do!  Unless I happen to find something cute on Christmas Eve to add to them.  I have before ya know. 


What do you think of this idea. . . we are currently traveling to Miami. . . I often come across "interesting" local foods that are sold.  I am thinking about on the trip back purchasing some of these items and mailing them in a package to my mother, at work, with a note about sending them some "snacks" to share! 

What do you think?

Yes.

I am not sure about thoughtful.  I was thinking more of having a bit of fun.  Two items that I saw yesterday were deep-fried peanuts (you eat them shell and all) and fried pork fat back (NOT pork rinds). 

I figured that it would bring her and the ladies that she works with a smile.  I will have to find a real giftie to slip in as well.  Oh. . . I also saw these HUGE pencils. . . I could add one of those for her to take to class.  Ha ha ha ha ha!

This is my take on holidays. . . .

If you do not like a holiday or celebrating a holiday, then don't.  You are an adult.  There is NO reason to put yourself through a bunch of stress for something that you do not like or enjoy.  Holidays are optional.  The way that you decide or choose to celebrate or not celebrate them is up to you.  If anyone tries to guilt you into doing holiday things that you do not want to do or that you do not enjoy, tell them "Thank you for the invitation, but I do not think so."  It really is THAT easy. 

But please do not come and kick over MY gingerbread house. 

I will however fully support your decision not to celebrate!

Status: offline 		i buy gifts for the kiddos and Sir. i hate holidays. Bad things always happen on holidays. My 13yr old and i (the only one of my children that lives with me) ....we stay home and play playstation, play on the computer for thanksgiving and christmas. we have for years.

was not trying to be insulting to you.

had no intentions of sharing my dislike for holidays, was really only playing.

but now ya know.

Status: offline 		there must be rule against arguing about Christmas until we battle the kids over how much Halloween candy they can have.

I am going to relax my rule on preservatives, additives and red dye 40. I am, damnit. I will NOT pick through his loot and pick out the really bad stuff (until he is in bed)

It is so hard to let a kid be a kid.

Status: offline 		LOL i get to take my daughter trick or treating this year for the first time in about 6 years! i i talked her dad into meeting me at wal-mart to find something for a costume friday night...not even my time to see her and he did it! i can't wait till saturday! just gonna be me and the monster.......i mean gypsy

Status: offline 		So...the LoudOne just announced that he is older than me. I asked how old he is and he held up the expected three pudgy fingers and announced "I's free!!!!"
So i asked him how old he thought mommy was. He looked down at his fingers then looked me right in the eye and said "I can't count dat high."
