My parents were visiting on their way south, so I was "off the air" fer the duration. Now I have a nice spiffy clean house, but it seems much quieter...

i love the moments when my son (he is now 7) climbs the tree or jumps an incrediably high ramp and im there going awesome son keep going.....as i take more anxiety meds..praying please God please no emergency room visit...

I made it to 12 before my son made that trip....then it was like he thought he got points or frequent flyer miles or something! Tried to wear out the insurance card! Then there was the time he got hurt at his job, called me and left a message in my voicemail saying "I'm fine, Mom....just calling you to tell you I'm having surgery on Monday. Talk to you later!" It took me two days to get hold of his other mom to find out what happened. I coulda killed him if I coulda found him! Turns out he cut his hand on the farm, it got infected, and they had to open it up, clean it out and stitch him up. OY! And people wonder why I quit at one!

Jeez, no wonder folks get grey hair! All it takes is a teenage one...

I did the same type of phone call to a coworker (we were both on a business trip; I was in the ER after an auto accident). She was running around in tight little circles until I could phone her back.
