I think Jim ought to put Holly in a cage when he leaves for work. There she would stay safe until he returns.

soul2share -> RE: The Holly and Potty Show (4/24/2010 4:38:30 AM)

I just read the "Rename Clumsy" thread....OMFG!!!!!  Add my prayers and thoughts to everyone else's.  How absolutely terrifying for everyone.  I'm so glad to hear that things are going to heal.  Give her a big, GENTLE hug from me too!

Sure, then Jim comes home to her with her head stuck in the bars....

hollykins, get well, dearest lady, we miss you!

ShaharThorne -> RE: The Holly and Potty Show (4/24/2010 5:05:01 AM)

Any news from Jim yet?  Is LO being taken care of?  Is Holly being chained to the bed so she can recover?

Fixin' to run to the store.  I forgot the onion powder, surge protector and personal items for Lizard yesterday.

Meanwhile, down at the ranch...

angel posted Me about holly and then I got a rather garbled text from the accident=prone one herself.  In it, she was bitching about them not being understanding about the "need" to get home and an non-understanding doctor.  Yeppppppppp, that must be it...us doctors are just soooooooooooooo non-understanding when it comes to you folks and your owies.  ~nods~  I am SURE he was just being wayyyyyyyyyyyy too conscious of the fact that she had:
1.  Broken her collarbone
2.  Damn near ripped her ear off
3.  Was airlifted to the hospital due to her unconscious state
4.  Had bleeding on the brain

Silly doctors...

LoL...whilst I see the point you are making, I can understand her too...I remember when I was hit by a car the first time (I was 8) and once I woke up in the footpath of a restaurant with countless people around me (which was even more embarrassing as a school mate was the daughter of those restaurant owners, so it was clear the news spread even faster) and was moved into the ambulance, I also kept telling them that I am fine and don't need the hospital...they didn't believe me and kept me there for a bloody long week...and gosh were some of the nurses bossy there, only because I was in no mood to lie and rest during my stay in the hospital...(had a concussion according to them)...[8|]

Good morning everyone.

A quick update on Walking Chaos. The trauma doctors said she can be discharged today. The entire group are not easily bullied (holly TRIED, trust me.) so I am pretty sure she is alright to leave. Her ear is awful looking for now but is warm with good color. There is a huge amount of pain in her shoulder but that is to be expected. They have her on seizure precautions which is fairly standard with a head injury as bad as hers. I am glad I was not there when they told her they are revoking her drivers license for awhile. She was livid.

As to our son. The paramedics did a very good job before they took her to the ambulance. They blocked his vision of his mom so he could not see how bad she looked. He is aware his Mom fell down the steps, but not the extent of her injuries. Holly suggested I have him draw pictures of all he saw that day and the pictures of Mom are normal. His mail interest was the ambulance and firetruck. He is doing well but needs Holly as much as she needs him.

Holly is going to laugh her ass off when she sees the thread renaming her. As all of you are doing, she has kept her sense of humor!

Thanks for the update, Jim, and my sympathies on her upcoming asslessness.

mnottertail -> RE: The Holly and Potty Show (4/24/2010 6:31:27 AM)

Well, it is good news for all that has occurred Jim.  Hope the path to healing is a quick one.  My brother cracked his skull and had severe headaches for like 3 months, and couldnt (and still kinda can't) taste anything, so watch out for her cooking, OK?

Thanks for the update Jim,

OMG revoking the drivers license for a while??? Gosh I would have gone bonkers as well if I would have been told that...

with her being on seizure precautions...now...that we talk about holly...maybe it would be better (unless it is done already) to put the mattresses on the floor for the next 12 months or so...so if she would have a seizure she would not be able to fall deep [&:]

just a thought [8|]

But wishing for holly and Jim and LO that all is back to normal asap...whatever normal means for Holly, though [8|]

I have now got my cup of coffee (of which I will swallow my sip between posts so as not to spew my screen or choke laughing, im guessing.)..I am SO glad to hear she is enroute to being mobile.

I'm very upset now.  All I see for an image is one of those red x thingies in the box inside the box.  *sobs*

GreedyTop -> RE: The Holly and Potty Show (4/24/2010 8:54:38 AM)

Daddysredhead -> RE: The Holly and Potty Show (4/24/2010 9:13:55 AM)

I'm so glad that Holly is doing so much better.  Two miracles yesterday.  [:)]
