Howdy, folkses!! I woke up with a giant cystic ZIT on my chin! But not the kind that hurts, so I am not gonna go get it shot up with cortisone.

That's about as exciting as it gets THIS particular second, and isn't that wonderful? (That may change when mom's ultrasound results arrive, but for now... wheeeee!)

back...had a lovely nap after the dentist's office. He ended up breakiing the tooth because it was wedged tightly in the spot(its is a tight squeeze due to the fact that have a small jaw). but its out, had a nap and half of my face is still numb. Next step is to do some cleaning of 7-22, so I have to be back home by the 21. This time, I will remember to hijack the dvds so mom can watch them with me.

The gum is a bit sore, but I am finally able to drink cold items again...he did mention that my root was deep in there

Made up some of my trail mix with dried apple, banana chips, raisins, plain M&Ms, pecans, almond slivers and unsalted peanuts. So far, so good but I forgot to chew on the banana chips at a later date... hit that nerve...OWWIE!

I am not going to take any antibiotics...Gave them to mom so she can take her trip in Arkansas She have been havng the cold, so I am dosing her up with dayquil, nyquil, lots of rest and grumbling aboutthe yard needs to be mowed. I have the baby bro come over and mow it for her (there is a reeason for lack of a drivers license...I drive all over the place and have petit mal seizures half the time)

Howdy folks! 

I left work tonight, only to come home and go right back there.. one of our regular guests (LTC US Army) arrived tonight.. last time she was in she left a box with her uniform and boots because she didnt want to ship them home (she's reserve... ) and when the whole ownership issue at the hotel was in limbo, I told her I would bring the bos home so it didnt get trashed.. and I forgot to bring it in today (the damned kitten got out onto the porch as I was leaving for work... little fucker totally distracted me from grabbing the box before I left).  Obviously, she needed her stuff TONIGHT since she has to be on base tomorrow morning early.

I need a day off.  I wanna sleep, but more importantly., I need a day to spend at the court building, because I am filing for divorce.

(and I would prefer not to get emails asking about the whys, please.. suffice it to say that things didnt work out)

And Shahar, don't give your mom the antibiotics, they don't do anything for a cold except make you resistant to them when you really need them. Plus you do need them. Dental surgery can easily result in nasty infections, either locally or in the heart. You're playing with fire.

I did not need the antibiotics, just a painkiller I think the antibiotic was time release and I did not need them. It was one that I break out in hives antway yes it was label in my charts unless they accidently gave it to me.

I sent Mom to the doc anyway...she needs a stronger antibiotic than what I got. She is suppose to go to Arkansas for a family reunion and mom knows knows how I get if I am suspect to a large crowd...I find a place to hide until the crowd is gone.

This painkiller is throwing me into a loop.Holly, we need to review mour painkillers. I think mine is Pecodan..

Mom has hidden the antibiotics from me. Talked with the secretary and found out that te antibiotics enhances the painkiller. Someone tie me down. I feel like I am floatin away...weeee!!!

BTw..mom does not have health insurance of any kind and COBRA would take out about 60% of her SSI check...

DS...I got cookies, a double stuffed chocolate and chocolate chip

The doctor prescribed an antibiotic to you for a reason. You stated the root was deep and that tells me he had to do a bit more work than normal. The antibiotic is for your protection. Trust me, getting cellulitis in the mouth is going to have you very, very ill.

I understand the medication caused you to have hives the last time you took it. First...the pharmacy you use should have been informed, by you, that you had an adverse reaction as soon as it happened. The records of the pharmacy would have reflected this, and the pharmacist should not have filled it without talking with both you and the doctor. Informing the pharmacy is a back-up for your protection. When the doctor makes a mistake, the pharmacy will hopefully catch it.

It is Friday. I cannot urge you strongly enough to call the doctor today, have a different antibiotic called in to the pharmacy, and take it (and tell the pharmacist about your reaction to the first antibiotic!!)

The doctor had prescribed the antibiotic to help you. He did not prescribe it to help your mother. You love your mom and your intent was certainly honorable, but it is illegal and if you get caught you will receive a hard time from doctors in the future. If your mom has a cold she may need an antiviral as opposed to an antibiotic. Taking the antibiotic will do nothing but build her tolerance to the medication, causing it to be less effective the next time she has a true need to take it. I am glad you insisted she see a doctor...hopefully she will feel better before her trip.

Shar...if the cost of medications is an issue (and i am certain it is)..please have her talk to the doctor. Many doctors simply do not consider the cost of the medication when writing a prescription. Should the doctor be made aware of the lack of insurance, he/she can make the effort to prescribe a different medication that is lower in cost.
