i'm back home from 2 1/2 weeks with Master Rich.  This morning i got off the bus 25 hours after getting on the first one yesterday morning.  After sleeping 4 hours i am BAAAAAAACK!
Welcome home Fluffy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!![:)]

It's not the actual time on the bus that takes so long...it's the layovers that add so much.  i've never mastered the art of sleeping in a bus terminal.  At least i had my crochet and Suduko puzzles with me.

Holly - i was thinking of you last night when i had a layover in Pittsburgh (only an hour) at supper time when they were servicing the bus.

i hope you are still healing.  My love to you and your family.
Thank you, dear lady. The healing is on course medically...but too slow for me.

I missed you.

I started two threads in Politics and Religion with the sole purpose of getting a number of fights going.

I am evil

Thanks.  What do you say when a three year old tells you, "Mom, don't cry."  I am lost.  I have done the dishes and fed the animals and listened to the video.  What more was I supposed to do?  That is two friends that have died.

Aylee...it is acceptable for her to see you cry. At that age they can understand that we cry because our heart hurts, and our heart hurts because we loved someone that is no longer here.

As to being lost...stop going in circles. Put little Butterhead to bed, then make a cup of tea, sit down and permit yourself to cry.

Aylee -> RE: The Holly and Potty Show (7/26/2010 6:53:45 PM)

Thanks Holly.  I will try that.

It sucks being a mom that has to be away from home so much.  And to have friends die in the army.

I'm sorry, Aylee.

Yes, Jeff, they are kind enough to allow me to feed them, groom them, share their king sized bed and just generally dote on them......so, tell me this.....who is the "dumb" one in this equation?  The felines, or the hooman?  [8|]

Aylee, my heart goes out to you.  Allow yourself to grieve and to remember, to not do so is a great injustice to what their life meant.

Sending my condolences to all involved.

As far as Butterhead, there is no doubt in my mind that she knows how much mommy loves her.....and how much you miss her when you have to go all those crazy places!

PeanutTigerinBox -> RE: The Holly and Potty Show (7/27/2010 6:58:43 AM)

I am sorry for your loss Aylee, and whilst on a personal level I can't really relate properly to the army (meaning I don't know anyone in the army) I can relate a bit to it as in the last months quite a few people died in the village where I am from, which makes me feel odd more and more when I go back to the future as I know have to actually remember who isn't there anymore, as I did not experience the months ahread of it when people talked about them being ill or so...recently my mum told me who died in the last 18 months where I had no clue about...if granny would still be around she would have updated me on what is going on but my parents usually don't bother...so it feels odd to me to know that whenever I go back home that simply certain village individuals aren't there anymore...despite them still being not that old.

On the plus side of tragic loss it was nice to experience that (I think it was last year) a previous sports mate called my parents to ask for me to let me know that another sports mate had died in a motorbike accident...felt nice that she remembered me and tried to inform me about that...kind of whilst I am far-ish away...at least some did not forget me completely.

Best wishes Aylee and as Holly said, give yourself time to cry and to go through the stages of grief. I still haven't had the proper time to deal with my 3 very personal losses in the last 6 years due to uni and other demands and its not good to let it build up when you can avoid it. (((((hugs)))))
