So. . . my great-grandmother died on Thursday. The funeral mass is tomorrow, but with work I am not going to be able to make it. So today I called the florist I always use in Grand Junction so that I could have them take over a plant for the wake and mass. Easy enough, right? Well. . . until she asked me about a message.

"I just need to know what message you would like on this."

"Message? Umm. I am not really sure what would work. 'I hope you don't spend too long in purgatory,' just doesn't sound very good."

Long pause.

"How about, 'With Love.'"

"Yeah. That would probably be better."

The other half about lost it, listening to the conversation. He remarked after I was off of the phone that, "The message is supposed to be for the living."

Thursday is my son's 14th birthday. We use to call him our little groundhog when he was younger. He is now taller than I am so I don't call him names anymore.......its just safer that way!

what is just as bad is that my eight year old comes up to my nipples already - she will be taller than her brother one day and THEN I will get the last laugh!

When my youngest shot up, he went through a period of patting me on the head. Now that was really irritating.
I think I threatened him with liver nightly if he didn't knock it off.

However the stepdaughter is a couple of inches shorter than me, I love it when she comes to visit!
