That's wonderful news, Aylee!!! Congratulations to your sister for graduating! Is she going to go into a specific field or general? (and where would you have been flying off to?)

Rain°

I think that she was talking about the ER the last time I talked to her about it (this summer).  She was also talking about going to a hospital in Loveland, CO, to do some type of internship.

I would have been flying from Lawrence, KS to Grand Junction, CO and back.

Now, her graduation is on the 13th of December.  We are driving to Grand Junction for the christmas holiday, leaving on the 20th of December.  Hence why I don't want to spend over 300 dollars on a plane ticket right before christmas.  Because we will be there the next week.  It isn't that I am just a complete cheap bitch.  She will just have to wait a week to get her congrats from me in person.  LOL

I didn't do anything, but I will pass them along to my baby sister.  (She is 28, married, and with 2 kids.  LOL)  I am very proud of her!

A week? A whole long week???? How cruel, how could you????

Damn straight you should!!

Somehow I don't think it will kill her to get them in person the next week. *winks* As for the ER, that sounds great, it's where I would go if I ever finish my nursing degree. Either that or Psych Ward. (I'm a natural working with psych patients, look at my friends, Potty and holly!)

Damn Rain, one would think it's too early in the relationship for You to be talking about Lumus in such a way......

It's never too early to be talking about the truth, Kali..... Didn't you know that?!?

Lordy...this is the first year we have to put up a tree. Last year a had a fiberoptic tree but this year we are going for the real fake type (I have a severe allergy to pine sap so we can't have the real thing). The problem is i have no idea how i am going to keep curious little hands off of it.

Why does this NOT surprise me?

put the TREE in a large playpen. in the middle. where supposedly she can't reach it.

or just put unbreakable stuff on it as it's going to get touched and tinkered with anyways

Typo fixed...you're welcome.

I haven't had a Christmas tree for almost 3 years now. I've always had kittens during the holidays & you KNOW they don't mesh well w/trees & especially the hanging ornaments!  I have several silk trees that I string lights thru and that's about it.

I miss having a tree......................

Uhhhhh, I don't know how Christmas is going to go. Lumus is talking about an artificial tree (which I don't care for) we have his son this year (OMG, I haven't had little little ones in the house in ages at Christmas!!!!! PANIC!) and now we have Lardo, errrr Pumpkin as well and I don't even know if he's ever seen a Christmas tree. I'm 2300 miles away from all my Christmas decorations and I think I'm about to panic on what to do.

  It's all your fault, ass-holl!!!!

Rain da panicking one now....

Naw, I don't think that it will kill her.  Besides, I am guessing that she will be rather busy anyway, so it would not like we would get to spend a lot of quality time togeather.  If it was in June or something, heck yes, I would rent a car and drive Butterhead and I out for a week.  But this would be flying out the 12th and flying back the 14th or 15th so that I could get everything ready to drive out.  And I checked AmTrak as well.  I would have to drive 3.5 hours to Omaha to get on the train, OR take the train to Chicago and then to Grand Junction.  Yeah. . . not gonna happen.

suggestiton: small artificial tree this year with vy kid friendly ornaments. next year get your christmas stuff up to canada, kidlet will be less likely to break ornaments with memories attached. and then you can put up "his" little tree in his room next year and let him decorate it.
