pinksugarsub : I included that exact phrase 'sub/slave' in my profile as I did not want someone disqualifying themselves based on the lack of either one in my profile. My sentiments exactly. After all, no two subs or slaves are alike any more than a Dom or Master. In short, different strokes for different folks.

So what if someone is "nilla" and looking for kinky sex? Arent we all "nilla" in a large portion of our life or do you crawl around on all 4's saying "yes Master" at work?
If someone is here just looking for kinky sex, more power to them. follow your bliss. There are many here searching for that and very few that live in a cage,speaking while spoken to only.

I see it as just a recognition that there aren't any firm definitions for either term. Such a statement is simply an invitation to enter into a dialogue.

I guess it can be practical at times to have a submissive give you a back rub and a slave to fetch your shoes --- who knows maybe they just have a busy schedule??
Labels are just that, and they usually mean different things to different people, until you've actually talked with them you have no possibility of knowing. - I've talked with some that have stated that they see themselves as a submissive in some areas and as a slave in others. Not every submissive have clear cut definitions of themselves also, but are simply ready to explore further --- I believe having an open mind about matters is often a good thing.
