A new weekly drama premiers on CBS, Thursday June 5, 2008 at 10/9c, called "Swingtown".

Will you watch it?  i will and, as someone who came of age in the '70's and, started swinging and engaged in some group sex, although not what i would call an orgy (how many people are needed to qualify as an orgy?), i'm very eager to see how they portray that time.

If you do watch it, will you share your thoughts here about what you thought of the show and whether or not you think it could help or hurt or have no effect on the public image of swingers?

This new period drama takes viewers back to the 1970s for a look at suburban households testing the murky waters of sexual revolution following swingers throughout open marriages, "key parties" and other swingers extravaganzas.

Mike Kelley is creator and executive producer of the pilot produced by CBS Paramount Network Television. Swingtown for the summer 2008 season.

Susan and Bruce have moved their family to Chicago to try to find a different, unique sense of community that they haven't felt yet. Little do they know, they've stepped into the world of swingers and the American sexual revolution.  (http://www.tv.com/show/68683/summary.html)

First Look At Series About Swinging '70S

Where were you in '76?

If this new CBS drama about sex in the '70s is to be believed, then you were probably having sex with your neighbors, thinking about having sex with them, or engaging in care-free orgies with whomever you happened to run into at the swingers' party across the street.

And if you weren't gazing lasciviously at your neighbors, you risked being seen as the neighborhood square.

Where was all this '70s sex so readily available? In a place called "Swingtown".

The show is a period drama about the impact of sexual and social liberation in 1970s American suburban households - such as open marriages and "key parties." [2]

Produced by CBS Paramount Television, the series was officially greenlit and given a thirteen-episode order on May 14, 2007. [3] It is currently scheduled to air as a summer series in 2008 on CBS. [1] The show will also be broadcast on Global and ITV3 in Canada and the United Kingdom respectively. [4] The show has also been picked up by Network Ten in Australia and Warner Channel for South America
