Greetings all,

I have recently seen a different type of bandage.  They are small strips of adhesive that are placed directly over a wound to hold it together, post surgery.  What are they called and where are good places to purchase some?

Thank you,

Vendaval

Steri-strips. You can get them at most drug stores.

I think you are talking about butterfly bandages. You can find them in most any drug store.

Thank you ladies!  Now that I know what they are actually called it's time for buying some.

Be VERY careful with disposal of the Steri-Strips. They are not bio-degradable (according to my doctor) and if they happen to go down your tub drain, they will usually not flush away with the force of the water and a plumber will usually have to be called.

This information is from a my plastic surgeon after my tummy-tuck.

Reader now that is very good information to have. Not in the habit of flushing bandaids but stuff happens.
