why does collarme not list provinces as states? (Full Version)

I have tried to contact the administrators of Collarme and ask them why they do not list Canadian Provices as states for the purpose of filtering, but never get a reply. Is this a feature that only I would use, or are others looking to meet new friends only in certain provinces? I will try once again to contact them, but if I am the only person who wants this feature, they probably would not want to spend the time to add Canadian provinces to the list of States.

"Cos we've only got 32 million people to filter through (give or take a few), compared to over 100 million in the US (give or take a few)? What could we possibly need a filter for? And besides, then the Brits will want to filter by county, the French by region, the Aussies by territory...... slippery slope mate, slippery slope. (edit for typo)

I sent a suggestion about a week ago to the collarme staff ..it may help if others do the same .... on the bottom of the page on the CollarMe click support and use the drop down menu to select the type of request .. I chose feature suggestion I can see what Cali is saying by entering Ontario in the "city or text" box.. the problem is not everyone has listed their province some use just city and drop down box for Canada ... there is almost as many listings for Toronto, Canada as Ontario, Canada ... to find locals one would have to enter many local cities in case individuals did not type in their province so I would have to Search London, kitchener, cambridge, brantford, paris , chatham, hamilton, toronto , Mississauga, Oakville, Newmarket and several dozen more cities if I wanted to do a less than 100 mile search and many in small cities would be left out if they did not also type in Ontario

[sm=discipline.gif] Ahem...... there happens to be a lot of good people here, if I may say so. And no, cjan, I ain't asking for permission! One thing I've learned is that Ontario is one HUGE ASS province and it would help if there was someway to help those looking. I would think CM would add the Canadian provinces to help out people.
