LMFAO! Yeah ya know what I call Fried Chicken? Baptist Communion. They have the Chicken Supper so ya dont die of starvation during the service. The baptists are pretty unique - baptist preachers dont like premarital sex cause it may lead to dancing! [:D]

*giggling*  no lie!!!

kitten, raised southern baptist in alvin....amd moving back to houston in about a week and a half!

Irishknight -> RE: Texas questions. (6/10/2008 5:56:07 AM)

I see how ya are.  The neighbors to the north get invited biut the ones next door on this side don't.  I might just have to round up all the Arkansas folks and crash your party ... with lots of cold beer of course.

DomAviator -> RE: Texas questions. (6/10/2008 6:08:02 AM)

Relax Irish, ya'll arkansas folks are always welcomed! Its them damned Okies who need a Visa to cross the state line... :)

DomAviator -> RE: Texas questions. (6/10/2008 6:56:56 AM)

LOL Rhi! Hey after ya'll had that guy denut the Longhorns fan in the bar last fall... Ya gotta expect some border skirmishes LOL

Seriously - I said we take football serious , some Okie cut the balls off a Longhorns fan ... Hows that for a football rivalry...

hizgeorgiapeach -> RE: Texas questions. (6/10/2008 7:02:46 AM)

Hey I  understand that.  The Red River Rivalry game is the one and only Football game I bother to watch each year - otherwise I pretty much detest the sport.  And being an OU alumnus, you can guess which side I'm betting on and rooting for!  (Shall I sharpen a couple of good skinning knives to bring with me when I come visit?)

I had heard about that lil incident.  Only think I could honestly think was "hmmmmmm... guess this guy thought it was a new take on Calf Fries"

(Ever wonder why they put artificial turf in the stadium in Dallas?  It was to keep the Longhorn Cheerleaders from GRAZING... )

LOL   Ok, I was born in Nebraska.. but we transferred to NM when I was 2 or 3.. honestly, I'm not a fan of most sports -college or pro.. there are just certain teams/states that I am almost helplessly compelled to yell GO HUSKERS! when I see someone from there, especially when said person indicates an interest in their states college team..LOL

hizgeorgiapeach -> RE: Texas questions. (6/11/2008 7:59:01 AM)

LMAO Greedy!

The only game I follow at all - even for OU - is the OU/TX game.  Primarily I follow That one because a friend of mine (huge TX fan, no accounting for his lack of taste) has a running bet with me concerning that ONE game out of the season.  Whoever's team Looses owes the other dinner - has to be good, cannot be at a resturant.  I don't Lose the bet very bloody often... and I don't let him forget that, either lol

edited to add : I was aware of who the Huskers are (unfortunately) - I was just being a smartass

GreedyTop -> RE: Texas questions. (6/11/2008 8:09:33 AM)

*snicker* I figured you WOULD know.. how could you not, if you follow the game at ALL?? LOL

That bet sounds like a fair deal to me *grin*

hizgeorgiapeach -> RE: Texas questions. (6/11/2008 8:12:50 AM)

I've always loved our bet - though he's grown to really regret it.  He proposed the bet several years ago, because he knows how I cook when I make meals for friends - and was counting on getting an easy 5 course gourmet meal.  He forgot to take into account that he might not Win the bet!
