It has been awhile since we'd indulged in face slapping.   Last night, after a particularly rough playtime, I was yanked to the floor and he proceeded to slap my face.  Our dog (Sweetest Lab ever, but protective) decided he should help me.  I was head butted and knocked down as he stood over me growling at my "attacker".  It took some convincing and dog treats to get him calm.  By that time I was laughing too hard to continue.

Doggie head butts are common in my household.  I keep ice packs & frozen peas for such injuries.

(Sorry for the temporary hijack)

[sm=flowers.gif]    Please feel free to borrow the dog.  (Now that comment was from the cats.)

WRONG.
Vitamin E taken internally, prevents internal and unnatural clotting while not interfering with surface clotting - on cuts. If the blood does not clot internally, it will dissipate much more quickly allowing the bruise to heal and fade faster.  Of course it works better if it was in your system prior to....
It is a natural blood pressure regulator as well, either up or down as your body needs it.  It also increases circulation - again if you need it.  - a smart vitamin if you will.
While i am on the subject, it is also good for strengthening the reproductive organs, and will prevent PID (pelvic inflammatory disease), taken regularly.  All proven over years, with doctors from Linus Pauling to my Ob/Gyn.  I cured my own PID with it, and my Ob/Gyn has used it with his other patients for at least 25 years.
(Although i have no proof, or need for it yet, it is said to help prevent Alzheimers and related dementias.  I hope so as oldtimers runs in the women in my family.)
Always use natural vitamin E  - d alpha or dl alpha tocopherols (with mixed tocopherols if possible). Nothing water solubized or saying acetate, these have been modified or are synthetic, respectively, and DO NOT WORK.
Vitamin E is also the only fat soluble vitamin that stores safely in the human body, until it is needed, you cannot overdose on it.
