Hi. I have a question for the masochists/bottoms/submissives/slaves who go to the gym (or any other place where random people see you naked). How do you handle being in the locker room/showers when you have marks on your skin? I agree with people who say it's unethical to play in public (I mean the real public, not at fetish events) because you're turning people into voyeurs without their consent. Do you feel the same principle applies to exposing yourself when marked, when it's not a deliberate exposure but just going about your daily business? I'm afraid that letting the women in the locker room see my marks would make them uncomfortable and thus be discourteous. But I don't really want to be the weirdo who wears her panties in the shower, or stop taking showers after working out. I suppose I could wait until the marks were healed, but Lord knows I don't need another excuse to skip the gym. What do you do? Cheers, Fiddlegirl

Go home smelly then have a nice bath/shower. I'm a bit wary of others seeing my P.A piercing anyway.

I agree with Sardaxia (except I don't have a pa) and I would add a couple things. When this gym membership is up, don't renew. Find a gym with private shower stalls. There are plenty. Or if yours does have pvt stalls and the concern is about getting dressed in front of others...bring a cover up on those days when marks are still a little ripe, dry off in shower, and dress quickly. Don't use this as an excuse to skip the gym, but just be quiet and discreet...most women will not look that closely anyway. If you have a deep scar, perhaps you should cover it w/ a waterproof bandage until it heals. And in that rare instance when someone might notice, chances are they won't ask and if someone does, just make an excuse and go on. No reason to share more info with people than you need to or than they need to have.

Honestly, I've never really thought about it. I know that the other women at my gym have no desire or inclination to look at my body, and I have pretty much no desire to check them out either (except for a wandering glance at nekkid boobies...I confess). If you're really concerned, take a private shower, or change clothes in a bathroom stall.

I have to agree with everyone else. My gym has private stall's. Co-ed sauna facility but since it is co-ed you must be fully clothed. If it is that big of a problem just go home and shower. That's what most do anyway.

This was an issue I had to deal with as well, at least in my own mind. We have communal showers at work, and a few dozen assorted piercings, and quite often a few stripes from the cane, are not particularly common. At first, I tried to shower out at odd times, when there were likely to be few other users. Eventually, I realized that most people pay far less attention to others, than one might fear. Also, it's really none of their business, so I just decided not to worry about it. Every so often I'll find myself needing to shower out on a day I hadn't expected to need to...which means dealling with panties and polished toe nails...so far no problems there...LOL. Tasha
