when i was about 8 years old, i had bunkbeds and slept on the top. i started having a recurring dream that a leprechaun type man would get on the bottom bunk and use one of those hand turned drills to drill a hole up through the bed and into my back. i could never get away. this went on for years and since that time i cannot stand to be touched with single pressure points on my back, especially around the lower spine. i totally freak! now the embarrassing part (as if that were not enough) is when someone who doesnt know about this touches me...  especially when i meet someone new and they inadvertantly do this.. and if its in an intimate circumstance then its REALLY a mood killer when i have to tell them its ok and they didnt hurt me.. blah blah blah... lol... anyway,i was curious if any of you had something that affected you like this??

Sort of, i was waiting on a corner to cross the street when suddenly, as traffic just started coming a man behind me shoved me in the path of an oncoming car. my hands flew out to push myself off the hood of his car while he screeched to a stop. i fell to the ground, not injured just shaken up and sore.

To this day i cannot tolerate anyone standing behind me, walking behind me, going up the stairs behind me etc.  Even people i feel 100% safe with, i just get very anxious and have to ask them to step to the side to where i can see them.

that does sound very traumatic, velvetears... do you feel you have to explain this to people when you have that reaction?

i had to read that twice, i can't believe someone would do that.  i hope anyone that might have witnessed it beat the living shit out of him.  geesh, i don't blame you for not being able to have people behind you.

Weird dream. I cannot interpret it for lack of information.

Hmmmmm my most embarassing trauma. Well, this is kind of twisted but back in college my frat lost a bet to our sister sorority. As a result of this, the brothers had to spend the day on campus dressed in drag. The girls took us shopping at the Salvation Army thrift store for the most ridiculous slutty stuff they could find, painted us up with copious amounts of dollar store cosmetics and we looked fucking HORRIBLE. Picture a cross between an old hooker, a country singer past her prime, and Tammy Baker!

Well lets just say I have no idea of how to sit correctly in a mini skirt especially not one being worn by a 6'4" tall man LOL and womens panties are not cut to hold in male parts. (I honestly have no idea how the TS/TV's manage to keep things from uh "spilling out"...)

Talk about an embarassing moment - as if being in drag wasnt embarassing enough - I later found out that half the campus saw my nuts and the branch they hang from! On the bright side, I got a lot of action that weekend, I guess they liked what they saw. LOL

ohh.. now THAT was funny... lol.. so did it affect you at all later or was it just a funny embarrassing thing? (because it seems that getting the action was a good thing)

Being forced to watch "Dancing with the Stars" with my parents in law. One of the most embarrassing things I've ever had to witness  .

Trust me, it was painful enough just to reminisce. I have no wish to elaborate any further : let's just say it wasn't the most dignified moment of my existence.

Sometimes, watching other people make fools of themselves is as painful as being a subject of ridicule personally  . I think it's called 'bottom-clenchingly embarrassing'!

That is a weird motherfucking dream....(but I had one too...of course, mine, as you'll see...was perfectly normal).

I was 6...we'd just been to Disneyland...had the most fun I recall at that age prior to being 6....and I went to sleep....

I dreamt that there was this big red blob (I'm 49...so, it was the time of "The Blob" movies) that came out of the upper right hand corner, in the ceiling, it got bigger and bigger and bigger and bigger (and bigger and bigger)....and it eventually enveloped me...scarier than shit (however, nowhere near as scary as the alligator that always used to bite my big toe in the middle of the night that my Dad NEVER fucking CAUGHT!!!!!...and I even knew where the damn thing HID!!!!!)....but, when it finally enveloped me it was kind of like that Mars movie where the guy stands in a glass tube and the water envelopes him...he's panicking...he takes a final breath...surely he's going to die....and everything's fine and off he goes to be with the Gods....

The red blob always took me to places I'd dreamt about (something I'd probably already seen on some TV show no doubt) and we'd (me and the blob) go places I could only fantasize about.

(I know...it's weird....hey I didn't post this stuff...I'm only commenting on it).
