TheChastiser -> My way of supporting Backlash (11/4/2005 1:14:43 PM)

it was suggested that people can list fundraising items on my auction site.

to this end i have created a section called surprisingly enough, backlash fundraising section.

as with the rest of my site, listing is free.

please feel welcome to list items you wish to sell for fundraising in this section. please put such items only in this section. items outside of the fundraising section will be assumed they are there for commercial reasons only.

photo's are very welcome to support your items but please limit content to what is legal currently in this country. remember, such freedoms may change if you dont support this.

please let ya friends etc. know about this section as the more that look at it, the better chance you have of getting a good price and therefore more money raised for this cause!

services too can be listed in this section as long as they too are for fundraising purposes.

Mike

Just to let you know, there is already an organisation called 'Backlash' which is campaigning for our rights and has affiliations with SMPride, unfettered and InformalConsent members. You might want to be careful of copyright problems and mention if you are in no way connected with this organisation. Either that or change the name.

Peace and Love

you are quite correct, and the section of my site i have mentioned is to be used to raise funds for the organisation known as backlash, such funds will be used to allow the organisation to progress such protests as necessary regarding the upcoming proposed legislation.

I had a look on the site and could not find acknowledgement to Backlash and your OP didnt mention the backlash site, nor that it was a seperate entity, so its always best for someone to question, I am sure can understand personal concern.
Affirmation is always welcoming.[:)]

It would have assited people had you just written what Backlash was here. You should be aware that the majority of people are not from the UK and there are people even in the UK who are unaware what backlash is. There is no link on BACKLASH to your site to reassure anyone that you are bonafide in your intentions. And many people here at CM don't know you from Adam - (as for IC, I cannot comment) I know that I raise monies through organisations I am familier with and people I actually know. Don't take it personal, it was just a (hopefully) helpful suggestion and explaination, as I had promised I would to others.

Peace and Love
