Aimtoplease101 -> Favorite furniture and equipment (6/21/2008 10:49:04 PM)

I've read people's contributions about their favorite toys and implements--- everything from nipple clips, to hair brushes, to strap-ons-- but what about your preferences for large scene oriented furniture or equipment?  I'm thinking about items such as bondage chairs, massage tables, suspension equipment, spanking benches, smother boxes, St. Andrew's crosses, etc.

There are a number of interesting commercial sites selling various type of S&M oriented "furniture," and the commercial dungeons of course have an assortment of such equipment from which to choose. I've even come across a few links to sites with instructions on how to build your own stuff.

What you have?  What do you use or like? And why?

Regards, ATP

If I had to choose a single piece, I'd say massage table. I was fortunate enough to score a portable one in decent condition except missing face cradle at a thrift store, for all of $40. And my second one was someone else's home-built and non-portable that needed re-upholstering. That one is especially nice because its well-braced 4x4 legs make great tie-off points for restraining a sub for CBT. [:D]

I have several things in my house... including an ob/gyn table.. and a portable sling... I love the sling, its versatile.. and can go up and down in a minute and get dragged anywhere, including the woods *big grin*

But the things I like the most are my two religious/church type chairs.. they are huge, have been outfitted with eye bolts and they are a lot of fun.  I like to play with opposites, so having a kneeling chair and a huge priest's chair (with a hidden compartment that holds all the CBT toys) is just too much fun.  I love when people come into my living room and say.. what's that chair for -- and I say.. oh, its Santa's chair, I haven't moved it since Christmas...

*grin*

If I had the space/place/wherewithal, probably the first thing I'd get is a St. Andrew's cross. A massage table would probably be my second choice. I DO have a sex swing, but we rarely use it.

I do own a spanking bench that I won at an event, but I would much prefer to have the St Andrew's cross.  My sub stands 6'3" and is over 200 lbs, so it's nothing for him to pick a bench up and move it across the room, even if he's tied to it.  (Yes, people have seen him do it at the club, and it's become quite a funny story that gets told over and over in our little circle.)  A cross that's bolted to the wall would be much more appropriate for him.

I miss my portable massage table.  It was adjustable for height, sturdy enough to hold two people,  and I could carry it around!

A domme friend of mine installed a steel grid across the wall of her play room... brilliant! Not only provides a place to hang stuff, but has hundreds of instant tie points.

I noticed a few of y'all wishing for St. Andrew's crosses.  Hey, those are simple to build on your own.  It really depends on how elaborate and "pretty" you want it concerning the cost.  You don't really need a lot of tools to do it either.  The construction is fairly simple.

foxyfurniture.com, the VersaHorse + the attachments covers most things. They are not building right now, but if you have access to a woodworking shop, they are offering free plans in standard CAD format.

I found a super massage table on ebay. Great price.  I bought the heavy duty version so it would be sturdy enough for some play, which made it a little heavier to carry, but the carrying case and strap solve that problem.  It was a great buy.

Just an fyi.  TM
