As you said, its likely to vary...

Those who are into Daddy/little girl fantasies or Schoolgirl ones may be interested in a hard spanking or paddling as its associated with both of those fantasies, but then again, they won't necessarily be a masochist, and probably would be if they were looking for a nice hard paddling.
Some people just enjoy the spanking or paddling itself without the roleplay fantasy -it really depends on the person.
Little girl fantasies are not my thing, and I prefer a good whipping, but as a bit of a pain slut I certainly wouldn't object to a nice hard spanking, - Its different for every sub!

If your main interest is the spanking and paddling there should be plenty of ladies into CP itself though many of them like to connect it to fantasy too...

For me it really depends on the mood I'm in. Although I love being a Daddy's girl I'm not all that favorable to the paddle or open hand spankings. I prefer the cane, flogger, and whip.

I'm spanked for 2 basic reasons:

1) Erotic/Sensual/Fun Spanking--This makes for great foreplay and is sexually stimulating to both of us.

2) Punishment/Discipline Spanking--This is not fun for me, it hurts alot and is humiliating. However, the power exchange that takes place during this type of spanking is very powerful. I need to have a strong man set limits and hold me to them.

I like giving a good spanking.
And, I like it when a sub begs to be spanked!

I also like to use a blindfold sometimes so she can't see it comming as it evokes more of a response.
OTK is ok sometimes but having a sub tied, gaged and blindfolded is best.
I like assplay too and sometimes I'll gently but firmly insert a vibrating buttplug to heighten the experience for her.

I would join spanking groups, there are hundreds if not thousands.  I have a freind of mine that is just into spanking but none of the BDSM lifstyle and they don't consider themselves sub/slaves.

They consider it is terms of spanker/spankee  she goes to spanking parties and sorts of other events just geared towards spanking.  Hell the even have a huge event in Vegas that is 3 days of nothing but spanking.

i'll second that thought! i feel so much more submissive after a good hard spanking. at first it does hurt, but after about 30 good hits the pain is less and i gues i go into what some call "sub space" whatever it is i am more interested in pleasing my Master/Mistress then about the pain. being controlled and humiliated is such a turn on that the spanking is just a way to that point.
