dinning out ---- formal or casual?

toldimawesome -> RE: The Game of Choices (11/25/2007 7:05:54 AM)

I think that dining out should be special... if I am going to invest my hard earned money in  a meal, it better be something I don't normally create (bother with preparing) myself....Okay, I'll be honest here... don't get me wrong, with the quality of food today, and where you go out and sit to eat that meal does not always give the accurate picture of how that meal was prepared behind closed doors.... I just like the fortitude that when I prepare a meal, I know where I bought the food, how I washed it, marinated/separated/handled it... and know what I am eating is as safe as possible, and prepared to my standards with the handling and prepping....bottom line, it costs me a lot less (money and viral curiosities) then do go and sit and have it brought over to me.......I do love to cook, and I enjoy going out... moreso when he pays... I don't normally go out to "Fine Dining" establishments on my own dime.... have in the past for some type of celebatory type of function.... but when I want to party with the gals, or friends, it's casual all the way.. usually with a lively vivation or two, then we order away....splitting several entre's... more fun and diversity that way! Then we all critique who ordered what, and how it tastes compared to that... lots more fun this way.... and who cares who cooked what where.. by now, we are hungry and bring on the food!...."The Game Of Choices"  is the title to this, game is the key word here [sm=shake.gif]
