Forgive me for asking... I am new here...  How do I delete a posting???  I see no edit or delete button.

There is no delete button. You live by the word, you die by it [;)]

The edit button only shows for about an hour after you post. I guess it's to allow immediate typo correction.

It's important to make sure you really want those words out there and attached to your name before you hit that "submit post" button.

For messages in your mail, you should see a delete button below them. For postings on the boards, they should ask you before you send them, if you want to edit them. There should be an edit button appearing, when you are done with the message and want to post it. If you want to forget about sending the entire message, you can just close the whole box, or you can erase what you've written. Once posted, I don't think anyone can delete or edit your post except a Moderator.

OMG you are correct, there is an edit button showing above my post of a few minutes ago! Thank you DesFIP, I never noticed that before.
