It does seem a reasonable women's alternative to the "Maid Cafes" for men, which have been around for some time.

Of course, I want there to be Maid Cafes for women, and I want to work there.  Imagine getting PAID for humbly serving women while wearing a French Maid outfit!  *sigh*

Think they'd do that for Daddy/Little Girl dynamics so the LG can be treated more or less like a real one, by the staff as well?

Wow...I like how the one guy pointed out "I thought it was going to be Teaching English Language or nothing"  That is exactly what I was told when I was finished with college and wanted to live over there for awhile... hmm possibilities

I love it. Shame I will have to go all the way to Japan to indulge.
The tiara thing is downright silly, but after letting it sink in, I don't know, I kind of *like* it.  Something symbolic like that makes sense.
And the waiters.  Swoon. Love the lad with the Canadian accent.

Cute concept, but they were all a little too scrawny for my taste.  Slavekal is more my style.

That is so funny yuri come to life.  I bet some of those guys make a fortune "hosting" on the side.

As for experiencing it, look for service parties and groups.  They do just that, tiara maybe not.  Very courteous, courtly and polite.
They even make the subs go through training on proper etiquette in order to be allowed to serve at a tea, luncheon or party.

A friend and I are planning to open a cosplay tea shop.

It sounds like Ouran High School Host Club in some ways. That's a good anime, but it's not too serious, since it obviously and knowingly plays on many stereotypes.

I want to go.....

Of course I can get Fox to do that anytime.

slavekal -> RE: Kneeling male waiters serve "princess" customers (7/2/2008 10:29:55 AM)

There is definitely a Canadian accent.  I can always tell when tech support is in Canada.  They get a higher inflection at the end of a sentence, like it's a question.  They pronounce about as "aboot".  They say process as PRO-cess.  They tend to say "eh"? a lot.

SaraZeal -> RE: Kneeling male waiters serve "princess" customers (7/2/2008 11:01:33 AM)

Then I'd say I don't have the accent. Must be American TV that did that to me :P

My source for learning English were English cartoons on TV, and theory in school. Practice has been in writing online, and in the few instances of meeting English-speaking-only people (pretty rare for me).
